Hazy blonde with a thin white head. Maderized honey aroma with light cardboard. In mouth, chalky malt with notes of honey, crisp german hops, and medium body. markas101 (2529) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - NOV 16, 2006
33 cl bottle, Toronto. Pale golden colour, sweet rice/corn/hoppy aroma. Smooth malty flavour, sweet lingering smooth finish. whitecap (289) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 29, 2011
341 refrigerated bottle bought at the Guelph LCBO.
Pours clear yellow with a small frothy disappointing white head. aroma of straw reminds me of a standard pilsner. not very malty and somewhat dry but minimal bitterness. Fairly thin and nothing special. This is most certainly not F&M’s best.

On tap at The Loop, in Toronto. Hazy golden colour with medium white head. Aroma is fruity, with decent hops. A refreshing beer without being the best out there.

341 mL bottle. I want to like this, but it’s not fermented properly or something. It’s too sweet, and has that corny kinda smell that some poorly made beers have. It’s no tun drinkable, but it’s not worth buying again.

(Bottle) Medium, foamy, white head and a pale yellow body. Tiny sediment. Little carbonation. Nose of citrus, banana and spice. Nice texture, sweet corn and grassy flavour with bitter finish. Good. MartinT (10155) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 21, 2006
Any first impressions?lukin (672) - Ontario, CANADA - MAR 27, 2011
-A very pale, translucid, metallic yellow sports a thin film of head.
-Honeyed malt sweetness comprises most of the nose at first.
-Sweet grain envelops the palate along with prickly but scant bubbling.
-The silky malt structure produces a comfortable mouthfeel.
What if you dig deeper?
-A pleasant, gentle wooden hop bitterness rises in the back.
-Some sulphur notes build and take too much room in the flavor spectrum.
-Lactic notes accompany the sulphur in the nose as well, disproportionately.
-All in all, a decent pilsner which could sway the macro drinker towards a label change.
Bottle; no date.
bottle poured into footed pilsner glass. Golden yellow colour. Aroma and taste is dominated by straw, grains, cereals. Also some soft fruits. Too little hops for my taste. Ok beer, but nothing I would seek out. PictouRx (188) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 3, 2012
sample pack lcbo, pours golden color light head dissapates quickly. Small grassy aroma with a bit of floral note, smooth crisp and clean finish. This is an ok pilsner. czar (9610) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 16, 2017
can. pours unclear bright gold with a small white cap offering some retention and lacing. honeyed pilsner malts, mountain dew*TM, caramel/diacetyl; white grape maltiness, some grassy herbalness, so-so yeast. moderate carbonation - almost spritzy; light body - fairly thin for its abv; balanced herbal-grassy finish. surprisingly, its pale lager (which is quite reductive) little brother, F & M StoneHammer Light, seems to reflect a tiny bit more a cleaner lager as it did not contain as much off-flavours, but close.
