Any first impressions?lukin (635) - Ontario, CANADA - MAR 27, 2011
-A very pale, translucid, metallic yellow sports a thin film of head.
-Honeyed malt sweetness comprises most of the nose at first.
-Sweet grain envelops the palate along with prickly but scant bubbling.
-The silky malt structure produces a comfortable mouthfeel.
What if you dig deeper?
-A pleasant, gentle wooden hop bitterness rises in the back.
-Some sulphur notes build and take too much room in the flavor spectrum.
-Lactic notes accompany the sulphur in the nose as well, disproportionately.
-All in all, a decent pilsner which could sway the macro drinker towards a label change.
Bottle; no date.
bottle poured into footed pilsner glass. Golden yellow colour. Aroma and taste is dominated by straw, grains, cereals. Also some soft fruits. Too little hops for my taste. Ok beer, but nothing I would seek out. PictouRx (181) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 3, 2012
sample pack lcbo, pours golden color light head dissapates quickly. Small grassy aroma with a bit of floral note, smooth crisp and clean finish. This is an ok pilsner. Gorbalev (3000) - Ontario, CANADA - AUG 22, 2005
Bottle. Pale yellow in glass, very little head. Slight hops and sweetness in aroma. Well carbonated, light tingly mouthfeel. Buttery taste - the dominant flavour in my mind, which I rarely can pick out. Hops come in at he end. In between there is a lot of attempted flavour going on, but I find it unbalanced and overly sweet. This made it not quenching or refreshing or even enjoyable on a flavour level. I thought it was a pretty interesting interpretation of a pils, certainly unique o Ontario, and I will try it again as I like this brewery and their efforts and this is getting some very positive reviews. Just not from me I guess. gilvanblight (825) - Windsor, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 5, 2006
Golden wheat yellow, thick head with heavy lacing. Slightly skunky scent. Very heavy carbonation. Mellow citrus/fuit tastes with a warm aftertaste. A great Session beer.

typical grassy grainy nose. Flavour is much of the same. the finish is also grassy. the grassiness takes ovver, meh, not a fan. czar (9094) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 16, 2017
can. pours unclear bright gold with a small white cap offering some retention and lacing. honeyed pilsner malts, mountain dew*TM, caramel/diacetyl; white grape maltiness, some grassy herbalness, so-so yeast. moderate carbonation - almost spritzy; light body - fairly thin for its abv; balanced herbal-grassy finish. surprisingly, its pale lager (which is quite reductive) little brother, F & M StoneHammer Light, seems to reflect a tiny bit more a cleaner lager as it did not contain as much off-flavours, but close. tomthompson89 (1982) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 12, 2007
straw colored like most pilsners some small amount of head not very lingering, nose of grain and grass, decnt flavour kinda sweet though, not much hops. Sammy (12212) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 26, 2010
A very pale colour, on cask at C’est What Fall Fetval. Some cask bubbles. Hits the style, medum mouthfeel, but not too drinkable.
