A hazed golden ale with a thin off white head. in aroma, sour ale with light peaty notes. In mouth, a sourish brash malt with light lactic and smokey notes, OK. Cask at Cask Days 2012. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 30, 2012
[4880-20121027] Cask. Asparagus pee and Brussels sprouts straw aroma. Slightly hazy, light orange body with a quick foamy white head. More sprouts and old meat in the flavour. Medium body. Oh wow, they weren’t kidding. (4/3/4/3/9) 2.3

Yup, had to try it.
Aroma is err, umm....rotten cabbage, garbage water, sulphur. It was rough. The flavor and finish were just boring. Sweet grains, honey, light grass. HogTownHarry (6925) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - NOV 1, 2012
October 27, 2012 - 8th Annual Volo Cask Days. Hazy gold with a huge and fairly long-lasting fluffy off-white head. Smells ... not good; sulfur, fermented dumpster, sour grain ... so far, not a good idea, no. The taste (nose held) is simple and just boring - honey and grain, only weakly vegetal, no alcohol. Average body, airy mouthfeel, finishes quick and leaves a vaguely grassy aftertaste ... apart from the aroma this isn’t horrific.

On cask at Cask Days 2012. The best thing about this beer is the name. That they got right. Soapy aftertaste. jercraigs (10374) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 29, 2012
2012-10-27. As one person put it, if you don’t like this it’s your own damn fault - They warned you right there in the name! Golden body, small head. Strong aroma of brussel sprouts have earthy lightly smokey touches to it. I actually tried this twice thanks to my "lovely" wife who served it to me a second time blind... The second time it smelled more like asparagus pee so perhaps there is some subliminal interpretation there to the brussel sprouts quality. The flavour is similar, earthy, vaguely smokey green vegetation meets brussel sprouts. Some pale malt if you can get past the green veg. I did not find this particularly sour despite the description on the list. Average plus bodied palate. I am curious to know if this was a bit of a lark, or if they genuinely hoped this would turn out to be fantastic. I did not care for it. It was kind of awful. "I’m told it was a beautiful Belgian day. The smell of waffles and brussel sprouts filled the summer air."
Wow. Brussels sprouts are obnoxious little things. The aroma from this was overpowering and hard to overcome. Surprisingly, if you could get past that, the beer itself actually tasted pretty good.
