Meget fylde, godt humlet, passer godt til den kraftige og fyldige julemad, og så smager den af jul (men det alt vel i december )

[email protected], Copenhagen - dark brown pour with tiny white head. Sweet malty aroma and taste with some toffeish and caramel notes, slight twiggy herbal hoppy notes, basic Jule øl. ---Sent via Beer Buddy for iPhone

It has thin white persistent foam, good malty aroma and a nice mellow flavor with good fruity notes. It is hard to believe that it is a lager, its flavor reminiscent of fig, raisin and cinnamon to a moderate degree. Slightly bitter hops keeps it in a nice balance, and although it is a somewhat sweet Christmas beer of the type that signals the Christmas with large C and is thus an estimable pleasure.

29-DEC2014, draft @the brewpub. Hazy amber with lasting, lacing, low, tan head. Aroma is very weak, mostly malty. Taste is malty, fruity, a Little sweet with a bitter finish. A lager? I guess so. Fresh for an X-mas brew, not spicy. Medium body and carbonation. Made for food I guess.

Nice amber color with a fine tan head. Some lacing. Toffee, fruity and some spices. Medium body. Soft carbonation. A bit oily texture. Toffee, some yeast, mild fruity and some spices in the flavor. Quite decent and easy drinkable.

500ml, as Vesterbro Julebryg, on tap at Barock in Nyhavn. Dark red body. Remaining layer at the top. No lacing. Moderate dried fruity aroma. Malt-fruity taste of caramel and jam-like fruits. Malty ending, slightly roasted. Approved without further excitements (Copenhagen 05.12.2013).

On tap @ the brewpub in Copenhagen. This one is a clouded deep red-brown beer with a nice medium sized off-white head that sticks around for a while. The aroma has dark malts, sour brett-hints (or is it perhaps sour berries?) Continues with some spicy woody tones. Slick on the mouthfeel with a soft to average carbonation level. Also a sourness in the flavor here. Not directly sour or infected (or is it?) but I did not care for it to much. Sour gooseberries? Could that be it? Thin chocolate hints before it ends light dryish with a lasting aftertaste. Not to christmassy if you ask me, and definitely not something I will try again. 06.01.2012
