F: huge, off-white, long lasting. C: amber to brown, hazy. A: artificial candy sugar, bit raspberries, mellow strawberries. T: malty, sweet artificial fruity, bubble gum, bit of cherries, light to medium body, medium to high carbonation, not good at all, 75cl bottle from Comptoir des Fagnes (Couvin, BE).

23/VII/15 - 75cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ Claudia’s BBQ - BBE: 2014 (2015-962)

Gusher alert!
Clear amber to brown beer, huge fizzy off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very sugary, strawberry flavoured Fruitella (soft candy). MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, very fruity, not as sugary as you might expect though, very artificial flavouring. Aftertaste: fruity flavoured bubble gum, candy, artificial sweetener, artificial fruit flavourings, sourish, slightly bitter.

At source, 01V2014, unwittingly mixed in with my meal-accompanying draught sampler. Strawberry Sunday, vanilleijsje van de car met aardbeisiroop: long time no see. I hear you have become a beer, alas I have grown up to gain a grownup palate. Farewell, Strawberry Sunday down the boscoli & bocht drain. Que les années ’80 à Mariembourg vous bénissent.

Bit soapy-cramy yellowish head over foxy-copper beer. Appaling sweet-perfumed reek, as something made for the toilet of British female teenagers. Or a Cadbury filling. Scorched caramel with the worst artificial fruit flavours. Rather well-carbonated, very faint burning MF, backthroat syrupy slickness. Des Fagnes - there’s one thing I have to admit about them - they never let you down. Just as you thought it couldn’t get worse...

Ungstrup (38248) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 8, 2009
Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of Lipton tea with forrest fruits - not bad - but just not very beer-like. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of forrest fruits as well as light notes of wood, leading ot an artificially sweet finish. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Cloudy amber with a small white head. Strong and perfumed-sweet aroma of berries. Sweet berry flavour

75cl, exclusive brew, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex fruit brew, too heavy, not balanced, clear, small head, nothing special, too sweet

Bottle 75cl. @ TFODRBSG 2008, Ulfborg, Denmark
Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy forest berry, fruit tea. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (230808)

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Hazy amber golden with tiny floating impurities and a small off-white head. Distinct berry notes - blueberries - are showing in the nose. Medium body, very sweet berry accents, so intense that I bet they cannot be pure fruit alone. No real hop bitterness. 230808

Bottle, 75cl corked, shared by fonefan. A deep golden, more or less clear beer with a decent beige head. There’s just some micro-sized floaties disturbing the view. Very berryish aroma, blueberries very evident, with generic forest-berries as well. The same goes for the flavor, which also has some menthol notes and sweetness, and finishes berryish. Medium to full body and a little carbonation. A really special one, nice though, but I doubt I would finish a bottle on my own. (080823)
