3.5
rarbring (2290) - Linköping, SWEDEN - DEC 5, 2012
Aroma: The smell is mostly malty, bread, hay, a bit stuffy closet and old socks.
Appearance: The beer is clear, dark brown with hints of read, a tan head with unevenly sized bubbles, good lacing.
Taste: Sweet burned notes initially, dark bread, roasted grains, a rather bitter finish.
Palate: Medium high carbonation, small bubbles, rather oily and a medium large body, a dry finish.
Overall: I must say that this beer was surprisingly good, less swetness and more taste than anticipated.
Note: bottle Reviewed 2010-11-16.

stefannilssons (1578) - SWEDEN - DEC 3, 2012

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2012 Bottle as a sample from the brewery. Metallic smell with some dark bread and caramel. Similar taste, the metal is dominant. Besides that a dark bready taste bordering on wort bread. Not as bad as expected but the metall is a definite downer.

Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark bread, caramel, wort, raisins and burnt sugar. Spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, slightly sweetish. Quite decent mass produced dark lager.

gyllenbock (10105) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 22, 2011
Bottle. Dark brown with a medium head. A little better than the 3.5% version but far from an impressive beer. On the sweet side with light roasted malt, caramel and some fruit and light spices. Thin mouth feel.

Bottle. A dark brown colour, clear with a tanned head. An aroma of bread, roasted malt and fruit. The taste is light sweet with a littl strange finish. It has a medium body and avarage carbonation. (from dec 2010)
