Pours dark amber color with a large head. Caramel and malty notes on the nose, some orange and mandarin notes, mild hops. Flavor is bitter malty with subtle caramel sweetness, orange and some nutty tones. More fruitier and less maltier Amber Ale, which is a good thing for me.
Bottle from Oddbins Rosemount. Pours cloudy amber-brown with a thick beige-white head. Aromas of candy floss, grassy hops and fresh orange juice. Flavour is a mild bitter, warming malt with a clean citrus hop and barley sugar sweetness. A nice soft, light mouthfeel with a gentle sparkle. A refreshing, warming and gently tart amber ale. Pint at the Windsor. Pours muddy amber, lacy off-white head. Aroma of toffee and rubber. Lots of malt on the taste, burnt toffee, something a bit odd and musty which is on the border of interesting or horrible. Overall good but something weird in there. Wouldn’t session it.
