The village of Kippen, nestled at the foot of the Gargunnock and Fintry hills was once home to the largest Grapevine in the world covering an area of 5000 square feet.
This pale ale has an almost vinous flavour and aroma, provided by the choicest New Zealand hops. Seriously fruity, floral and citrus, this beer showcases the best qualities of two stunning NZ hops.
Dominant flavours: Floral, citrus, tropical, fruity, bitter. Grapevine tastes great on its own or with Indian curries, spicy pizzas or chorizo. Serve at 4C for a refreshing tropical citrus hit or at 12C for a fuller bodied, fuller flavoured experience. No additives, no adjuncts; just four top quality, natural ingredients: Malt, Hops, Yeast and Water.

Malts: Maris Otter, Vienna
Hops: Magnum, NZ Cascade, Motueka
IBU: 43
OG: 1.054

Note: Until April 2014, contract brewed at Tryst.

Keg at Craft Beer Shop, Little Chalfont, Bucks. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, grapefruit on the nose. Taste is the same, hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, slight orange too. Very drinkable.

Pours hazy amber, nice frothy white head, excellent lacing. Aroma of ale malts, citrus and tropical fruits. Tastes medium bitter, a solid malty body and hops don't rape the beer, which remains well balanced. Hops add citrus and mango, some yeasty funk. Easy to drink ale, light and crisp, astringent finish. Decent.

Pint at Schilling Brewing Co, Glasgow:
This one was a surprisingly good first beer from Fallen for me & one that was a lot more varied & bitter than I'd anticipated when I ordered it. The beer opened with some good grapefruit & pine bitterness with a few floral hops not too far behind & some nice caramel that helped keep the balance of the beer & prevent the hops from overpowering further on. Falling somewhere between a pale ale & an IPA given the hops that featured, the beer was an easy on to drink & I'd happily have it again.

330ml can. Pours hazy tea colour with a small off white head. Nose is stone fruit, passion fruit, floral, caramel and aromatic. Nice medium/light mouth feel. Flavour is fantastic ! Apricot, passion fruit, blood orange, pineapple and caramel malt. Finish is a medium bitterness. This went down rather well, needless to say !

330ml can bought at Independent Spirit, Bath. Rocky white head with fine retention leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Hazy orange coloured body. Earth hoppy aroma, hints of mango fruit. Malt-fruity flavours of ripe orange, mango, grapefruit and mid-sweet caramel malts. Citrus peels to the finish with rounded bitterness. Nice. (Shared with Finn, Tromsø 26.07.2017).
