The village of Kippen, nestled at the foot of the Gargunnock and Fintry hills was once home to the largest Grapevine in the world covering an area of 5000 square feet.
This pale ale has an almost vinous flavour and aroma, provided by the choicest New Zealand hops. Seriously fruity, floral and citrus, this beer showcases the best qualities of two stunning NZ hops.
Dominant flavours: Floral, citrus, tropical, fruity, bitter. Grapevine tastes great on its own or with Indian curries, spicy pizzas or chorizo. Serve at 4C for a refreshing tropical citrus hit or at 12C for a fuller bodied, fuller flavoured experience. No additives, no adjuncts; just four top quality, natural ingredients: Malt, Hops, Yeast and Water.

Specifications:
Malts: Maris Otter, Vienna
Hops: Magnum, NZ Cascade, Motueka
IBU: 43
OG: 1.054

Note: Until April 2014, contract brewed at Tryst.

Clear, lively golden ale. In the aroma the fruit is slightly more dominant than the hope. There are flavours of hopes and fruit but it’s quite a floral beer on the whole. Balanced very nicely and very drinkable.

330ml can. Pours hazy tea colour with a small off white head. Nose is stone fruit, passion fruit, floral, caramel and aromatic. Nice medium/light mouth feel. Flavour is fantastic ! Apricot, passion fruit, blood orange, pineapple and caramel malt. Finish is a medium bitterness. This went down rather well, needless to say !

Cask at The Antelope Beer Festival, Surbiton, Surrey in Sept 2017 - Clear amber gold in colour. No head (no room). No lacing. Fruity; citrus orange and grapefruit, tropical fruits, mango. Hoppy; moderate to good hop bitterness. Malty; pale malts, caramel. Bittersweet fruity and hoppy throughout. Very drinkable. Decent. (2017-09)

330ml can bought at Independent Spirit, Bath. Rocky white head with fine retention leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Hazy orange coloured body. Earth hoppy aroma, hints of mango fruit. Malt-fruity flavours of ripe orange, mango, grapefruit and mid-sweet caramel malts. Citrus peels to the finish with rounded bitterness. Nice. (Shared with Finn, Tromsø 26.07.2017).

330ml can. Hazy golden amber colour with off-white head. Aroma and taste are the same - tropical and citrus fruit, floral, earthy, mild bitterness. Medium body, fine carbonation.

Can, watching City in the Champions League QF, 18/04/17. Hazel orange amber with a decent egg shell white head. Nose is bitter orange, roasted malts, caramel, toasted grains, melon. Taste follows, orange pith, light minerality, melon, toasted malt, citric tinged straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, slightly astringent hop bitterness in a drying close. Passable APA but not one I’d return in the current UK market.

From a can, pours a hazy Amber, with a lacing off tan head. The aroma has some spicy hops , and some malt. Good citrus flavour, with a drying bitter finish
