A decent wheat ale captures the spirit of summer in a glass bottle. It won’t wow you with a world class profile but for a brand reestablishing itself in Kentucky there are worse alternatives. If you run across a bottle for about $1.99 don’t hesitate to pull the trigger.
Aroma / Appearance - A carbonated golden body sparkles with the color of liquid sunshine. Crisp white head adds a white cloudy cover. Warm loaves of hoppy wheat bread open up slowly with an undercurrent of lemons.
Flavor / Palate - Lemony wheat textures refresh the palate after just one sip. A polished rosy feel warms the tongue and throat. A simple profile makes this a competent daily drinker. With other alternatives from the likes of Country Boy, Rhinegeist, Mad Tree, and more it is hard to recommend immediately jumping into a six pack. Buy a single to make up your own mind - it won’t be regrettable if you happen to find it fresh.
thanks for the tick, dj! .. . pours a very light gold .. light foam spots .. . mucky stuff, mop qualities .. . a very empty and depressing beer, i guess i’ll have to go back to prostitutes.. djd07 (15071) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 11, 2015
Bottle. Pours a clear gold with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is skunk grass, wheat. Thin mouth, metalic, skunk, no. edgallow (4211) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 17, 2014
12 oz bottle pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of grain, yeast and hay. Taste is yeast and malts. AndyW68 (1553) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAR 30, 2014
Clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is lemony. Taste is generic american, but in a good way. Imagine coors and add lemon.

Secret Krampus rating #1, thanks Peter. Wondering if he had prior knowledge of my hatred of American Garbage-Style Ale (Americanized "hefe").

Pours bright gold with a small amount of white head that dissipates quickly. Most of the carbonation leaves the beer fairly quickly as a result.
Aroma is corn, skunk, and lemon; kind of sweet. Mostly just booze and corn.
Flavor is lightly skunky with some bitterness, lemon, grass, and grain. Taste the complexity, bro. All around kind of a crappy wheat beer but not horrific or anything like that.
12 oz bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have moderate sweetness, wheat, grass, light spice and fruit. b3shine (8928) - Indiana, USA - DEC 22, 2013
Bottle to taster (shared by Tmoney99). Looks decent; a transparent light gold with thin white lacing. Smells of wheat and yeast with a bit of bitterness. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Tick tock. Tmoney99 (14604) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 7, 2013
Bottle. Poured hazy amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate sweet wheat and citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium citrus sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of average duration. rondphoto (4466) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - OCT 29, 2013
Clear golden amber with a minimal head and light swirls of lace. Taste is fizzy, somewhat wheaty malt that has the hops entering well into the finish. Seems a lot like the big box guys throwing their beers out with some hops in the finish. Not a good marriage of tastes, not nearly as good as the flagship brew (and that only one advanced to 3.0 by my rating). Not recommended
