Cask Conditioned at Banbury Beer Festival ’05. Amber beer with lasting laced white head, cracking condition. Wow, what a beer, sulphery pungent eggy nose with a sharp citric hop aroma. Full, dry bitter beer, walloping mouthfeel and a citric fruit body. Lasts forever, juicy an absolute belter. Leighton (22814) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 25, 2011
Gravity cask at The Bricklayers Arms Derby BF, London. Pours a light, red-gold with a bubbly, white head. Mild toasty pine aroma, some ripe citrus notes. Great flavor. Immense balance and a great sesioner. Medium sweet with good bitterness, mild toast, leaves, citrus. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild tangy citrus hops in the finish, some light spice, light pine resin, mild toasty malts. Excellent stuff. haddonsman (1234) - Derby, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - FEB 16, 2005
Cask (handpulled) at Derby Winter Beer Festival 2005. Grapefruit aroma, almost herbal. Light caramel body, halo of white head, balanced, long finsih with smarting fruit. Yummy. SilkTork (5924) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - JUL 9, 2004
Dartford Fest. Gravity. Orange colour. Fruit aroma with a hint of spice - nutmeg? This eventually vanished to be replaced with an earthy gooseberry. Superb mouthfeel. Slightly sweet backed up by flowery fesh hops. Spanking. One of the best beers of the festival. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2007
Cask Handpump at the Assembly Rooms, Derby 05/01/2007
Very hoppy aroma. Golden amber coloured and extremely hoppy with some coriander spice flavour. A little dryness in the bitter malty finish.

Gravicask at the Bricklayers Arms Derby Beer Fest. It pours golden yellow, with a thin white head. The nose is resin, light cheese, pine, oily hop and sweet lemonade. The taste is oily, resin, pine, hop bite, tangy citrus and lemon soap, with a decent bitter-dry finish. Light body and soft carbonation. Flavoursome and well balanced. Good job! scania (188) - Malmö, SWEDEN - SEP 10, 2006
Cask at GBBF 2006. Golden colour. Citrus in aroma. Fruity flavour with citric-bitter finish. Nice. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 3, 2007
Nice 2cm white foam covers the clearish pure gold pour. Beautiful condition this one. More geared towards bitterness than aromatic hoppiness, but nicely herbal and quite spicy, floral hop attack takes one the delicate bready, soft hay-like malts. Not complex, but not simple either. Delicious mouthfeel with a certain creaminess to it. Very good one. downender (9008) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2010
Cask-conditioned at the Seven Star, Bristol 8/12/10. Pale amber with a decent white head. Citrus fruit aroma with some floral hops. Flavour of sweetish malts, apricots and spicy hops before a decent bitter finish. Very drinkable. chriso (7536) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 10, 2004
Beer # 11 at Dartford Beer Festival, with SilkTork and Duff. A pretty decent effort from a fairly recently reopened brewpub in Derby. Amber colour. A bit hazy - presumably not settled out completely, but that didn’t have any discernible ill-effects. Lots of lemony, grassy hops in the aroma and a distinct Sauvignon-like gooseberry leaf accent. Unfortunately, I thought it fell away a bit on the palate. That’s not to say it was dull, just that the it didn’t live up to the promise that the aroma offered. Still a good beer though. Cask (gravity dispense).
