I got this, with a radler, at the gas station across the street from the store we got most German beers at. Cute 0.33l bottle. Poured a lightly pale golden with a very thick medium sized white head that went away at a medium pace. Very lively carbonation, almost fizzy. Dusty malty nose. The dry, light taste is based on some interesting honeyish and fruity malt, mixing with dusty lemony hopiness. How many times have I said something similar... ah well. It’s subtle and interesting though, with a fine hop-malt interplay, but nothing all that special even if turned out to be quite enjoyable and likable in the end. As the others have said, it could really use more body to shine.

Bottle. Light golden, small to average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish aroma with light grassy hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetness, light grassy hoppyness. Finish is average, malty - lightly grainy and dryish, some grassy hoppyness. OK dryish pils - decent bitterness in the finish for German pils.

Grima (2394) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - JUL 30, 2012
The beer in the glass is strong golden yellow with a soapy, white head. It smells very grassy-sweet and hoppy-bitter. Starts with grassy hops, subtle bitterness in the background, also slightly grainy with some hay in the background. The middle part has some more hay and grass, it tastes very "countrified." Goes into a hoppy-sweet and grainy finish with plenty of grassy hop flavors!

Helder geel bier met schuim.Smaak is iets bitterder dan de standaard pils, echter blijft wat mij betreft gewoon een standaard bier. Best goed overigens dat zeker. Etiket vermeld inmiddels ook "Budderl".

Very average Pilsener with bitter notes from the Bavarian Forest. Nothing special, but OK for a domestic Pilsener.
