Très intense et très frais avec un bon équilibre entre l'acidité et l'amertume. Cidre charpenté, long en bouche et fruité pommes cuites. On y retrouve aussi des saveurs de peau d'oranges, d'agrume confits.

75 cl Bottle. Deep gold, effervescent, almost a bit cloudy. Crisp apple nose, light dust, rather dry and light acid, green apples, some tannins. Nice. Ripe apple sweetness is balanced with light acidy, some citrus, some tannins, some light funk. Dry, to sweet and fruity mid, to dry finish. Effervescent like champagne. Excellent stuff.

Golden without much of foam there. Lots of fermented apple peels in the nose, apple-y. Taste smooth, apples are very strong and clear. Sweetness is there but does not disturb me at all, very nice balance. Drinks super nice, has depth regardless of being sweet. Very pleasurable.

Light golden color. Slight sweet nose with apple skins, earthy start with tons of apple skins and big tannins. Tight carbonation, lots of yeast. Super fun. Slight sweet. So well balanced. Excellent

75cl bottle as ’Cidre Bouché 2014’ from madeincalvados.com. Pours clear gold with a persistent white ring head. Aroma is very faint French apple fruit. Taste is lightly oily and exceedingly dry, lacking a traditional farmhouse texture with very low fruitiness. Some mirage like tannic echoes. Not a good French cidre.

pours unclear bright yellow with a nice bubbly white head, fine bubbles surfacing. honey and bretts, bright yellow apples, fragrant pears as well, leather/plaster, citrus rind/peel, spices - cinnamon; touch of sweetness - golden raisins; lots of earthy minerals. spritzy champagne carbonation, light body, softly tart, semi-sweet yet (relatively) drying bretty-tannic-citrusy finish. rustic-plenty with a smooth balance. much enjoyed for the missus’ b-day!

(Kiev 2016). 750 ml. bottle. 2013 Vintage shared by 4. Hazy citrus golden, extremely sparkling & lovely. Nose is also intense dank fermenting apple, near mineral, barnyard, low brett, faint prune but the funk is touch less here than with the “Etienne Dupont Cidre Bouché” I tried prior to this one & you get some light dry faintly sweet apple that adds a pleasant touch, preferred this a bit more over the higher rating & more wild and rustic “Etienne Dupont Cidre Bouché”. This one is a bit more approachable for a newbie like me I suppose. Taste is milder but still strong fermenting apple & apple skin funk, massively funk, low brett, almost mineral, apples, floral. Intense, took some getting used to admirable.

750 ml bottle, tasted side by side with the Cidre Biologique version. Cidre Biologique pours a tad lighter than the Bouché. The aroma is a true barnyard funk, and loads of bretts. This is getting really close to traditional geuze. This cider reveals what natural and spontaneous fermentation does to apples, and it’s just marvelous: vivid apple sours in the aroma, funk funk funk, and champagne alike notes of pinot meunier. The Bouché version is more tannin based and gives a rougher edge to cider due to the use of other varieties. Less of a funky result, but nonetheless full of character as well. pours a bit darker yellow, both very finely carbonated. Cidre Biologique 4.6, Cidre Bouchée 4.2. P.S.: if RB puts ciders on its website, the step to wine is just very small (fruit sugars fermenting to alcoholic beverage). The gap between beers and ciders is bigger than that of ciders to wines... Just sayin’.

Bottle 750ml. Pours blond with no head. Aroma is of manure, apples, pears, flowers. Taste is of manure, apples, flowers, honey. Palate: Medium body, high carbonation. Overall: Quite nice. Fruity.

Bottle (750 ml). Clear bright golden with a fizzy white head, no retention, leaving not much lacing. Flavors of bright apples, medium farmhouse presence for a cidre fermier, hay, grass and leather. Taste isn’t much sweet apart from some apple fruity sweetness along mild acidity. Medium body. Soft carbonation with lots of small bubbles. Juicy apples mouthfeel. Herbal and hay finish. Much softer than Dupont Bouché Brut Bio de Normandie and less farmy but it’s nicely balanced, super juicy and quenching. Tasty stuff.
