330ml bottle carried back home from Vinmonopolet Vika. Cloudy dark orange coloured body. Firm frothy, off-white head. Spotty lacing. Inviting aromas of citrus hops presenting grapefruit to the fore and with earthy malt behind. Fruit hoppy taste, including grapefruit, mango and orange supported by smooth, underlying malty sweetness. Dry bitter citrus shells to a long-lived, rounded ending. Full bodied and well balanced. Excellent dipa (Tromsø 06.09.2013). larsga (7690) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 15, 2013
Big offwhite head. Hazy amber body with big floating lumps in it. Resiny tropical fruit and malty raisins aroma with strawy cat’s pee notes. Dry-sweet malty caramelly taste with strawy salty resiny notes. Mid-to-full body. Chewy, soft, fluffy mouthfeel. Dryish raisiny biscuit aftertaste with resiny strawy tropical fruit notes. Light funky notes. Nice and drinkable. (0.33l bottle, from Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.) Arve_Christian (5234) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 8, 2013
On bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Golden hazy color, good foam. High aroma intensity; hops, pine, citrus and stod fruitiness- caramel in finish. Medium body & medium high complexity. Some immediate sweetness, Then solid bitterness- balances well. Very enjoyable tfredvik (2095) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 5, 2013
Pours a medium amber to orange body that is cloudy and topped by a bit below average-sized, egg-white, somewhat creamy head. It reduces to a fully lasting layer with some big bubbles floating around and other big bubbles are gathering along the edge of the glass, where a good amount of lacing is left. The aroma is very strong, sweet and fruity. I’ve come to appreciate overripe tropical fruity notes, but this one is almost a bit over the top: the overripe notes are simply too overripe, they are dangerously close to rotten (without completely getting that far). Also sweet orange and grapefruit in the back. The taste is moderate sweet and the rather long finish is heavy bitter. The flavours are strong and tropical fruity (especially sweet peaches), luckily a tad less overripe than the aroma. Also orange and resin. The body is close to full, the texture is oily and the carbonation is soft. A very good DIPA, but not a new favourite. ClubGonzo (5683) - Bergen, NORWAY - AUG 12, 2013
[33 cl bottle, batch #400, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo]
Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours a slightly hazy dark-hued orange body with a medium creamy off-white head. Nose is an assertive and nice plethora of American hop aromas: citrus, pine, pineapple, peaches, rose water, wet grass and hints of alcohol, resin and licorice in the back. As inviting as it is classic. Taste is strong resinous grapefruit and peach notes, resin, pine, grapefruit and hints of alcohol, herbal licorice, dry grass and rose water. Medium to full body, soft to medium carbonation. Long resinous bitter aftertaste. Very pleasant, and the slightly low ABV compared to many comparable DIPAs makes the sting come from hops instead of the booze. Very enjoyable double IPA from Fanø.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a slightly tanned, creamy head leaving plenty of lacings. Aroma is heavy caramel-malty, some pine and resin and mild herbal notes. Taste is malty caramel at first, then into light harsh resin-ish bitterness. Rounds of rather balanced, but with a slight twang of alcohol. Medium carbonation and medium to full bodied.
