COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first beer in Fanø Bryghus’s new "Danish Imperial Series" "Canute the Great" is a Russian Imperial Stout, dark in color and thick in body with an exceptionally smooth finish. Canute has rich aromas of coffee, dark chocolate that blend with the flavors of raisins and brown sugar.

Tasted 2018-01-05. BB:2022. Pours black with small, quickly disappearing, light brown head. Aroma of basement, dates and port wine. Taste contains notes of coffee, alcohol and liquorice. It's at very heavy beer, that tastes and smells like an aged stout (several years) - I believe this is a fresh bottle though.

CloakedDagger (3008) - - JAN 4, 2018
Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a dense, light brown head. Surprisingly subdued aroma, some discreet roast, licorice and molasses. Rich body, harsh roastiness getting rather charred and ashy. Malt bitter finish. A very rough experience, but a solid old school Imperial Stout. 040118
