COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: This beer was a lovechild from start to finish. Born as a result of good times at Fanø Bryghus between a bunch of thirsty and ticking frenzy ratebeerians and the hospitable brewer family The Witter-Merrithews. The occasion was “Fanø Bryghus Slumber Party 2012” a really terrible excuse for a great barbecue, good beer, funny games, excellent company and….brewing a beer. The beer was developed as a joint venture with everybody allowed to join in. Then brewer FrumptyDumpty transformed the input into a functional recipe. Although brewed in the midst of the bright (well…) Danish summer we brewed a rich and potent beer for those darker days: a Belgian-style Quadrupel made with heather and rose hips. Contributors (one way or the other!): Brugmansia, Christian, Dedollewaitor, FrumptyDumpty, Papsoe, princesslala, Theis and thewolf.

Very dark brown, small beige head. Aroma has caramel, syrup, dried fruit. Sweet flavour, dried figs, syrup, prunes and warming alcohol biting my lips. Very nice.

Bottle 50cl, a dark brown beer with medium head. Nose is on ripped fruits such as plum, fig and apple, marmalade touch as well as cooked wine. Taste is quite sweet, almost no bitterness, texture is oily and syrupy. Aroma is on cooked wine, plum, red fruits sweets, violette, bit tannic, touch of cinnamon, finish on ripped fruits.

[email protected] Pours dark brown with lazing tan head. Aroma has caramel, dark malt, overripe fruits and bread and seems sweet. Taste has caramel, dark bread, ripe fruit like raisins, fruity yeast and is quite sweet, too sweet compared to the best belgian quads. Balance tips to sweetness but good mouthfeel.

Deep brown, clear body with a small, beige head. Strong aroma of dark dried fruits, dark caramel, chocolate and Belgian yeast. Strong flavour with a more pronounced and very pleasant Belgian yeasty feel than the aroma, dark dried fruits, sweet caramel, dark caramel, alcohol and some chocolate in the back. Moderate to heavy sweet taste, with a light to moderate bitter, long-lasting finish. Full-bodied, oily texture. A very successful quad!
[sample @ Haandbryggeriet ølfestival 2016 Drammen, shared with bergstaden, sebletitje and some friendly Untappd-ers]

Powerful and wonderful quad. Mellow and balanced. Dangerously drinkable.
Almost black color with a fine thick tan head. Ok lacing. Good intensity in the aroma. Full body and a soft carbonation. Balanced mellow sweetness and a bit oily texture. Complex nice flavor with dried fruits, mild vinous, chocolate, dark malt and toffee.
[Sample at Haand 16 - Haandbryggeriet, Drammen/Norway]

Draft sample @ Haand fest ’16, Drammen. Shared with the Norwegian tasting crew. Acajou, col fin beige.

50cl bottle pours a viscous brown with some cloudy beige head. Nose has dates and spice and booze and raisin and malt. Flavor is OK, cakey, spice, raisins, dates, clove, candy. Boozy, full bodied finish.
