Pours dark brown with lazing tan head. Aroma has caramel, dark malt, overripe fruits and bread and seems sweet. Taste has caramel, dark bread, ripe fruit like raisins, fruity yeast and is quite sweet, too sweet compared to the best belgian quads. Balance tips to sweetness but good mouthfeel.
From tap. Hazy dark brown colour with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, alcohol, caramel, spice, bread and bitterness. tfredvik (2013) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 3, 2016
Deep brown, clear body with a small, beige head. Strong aroma of dark dried fruits, dark caramel, chocolate and Belgian yeast. Strong flavour with a more pronounced and very pleasant Belgian yeasty feel than the aroma, dark dried fruits, sweet caramel, dark caramel, alcohol and some chocolate in the back. Moderate to heavy sweet taste, with a light to moderate bitter, long-lasting finish. Full-bodied, oily texture. A very successful quad!Cunningham (8177) - Halden, NORWAY - JUN 2, 2016
