pre-gbbf shindig 2012. Black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is toffee, roasted malts, mild ashes and some slight ripe fruity notes. Flavour is caramel, alcohol, mild toffee, chocolate and some slight ashes as well.
Bottle 33 cl. Pours pitch black - thick and syrupy - with a small brownish head. This almost pours like motor oil! Sweet syrupy roast in the nose - and quite some vanilla. Thick, fat roasty body with sweet chocolate, prunes and vanilla. Quite some malt bitterness, some licorice appearing late as well. A massive Imperial Stout that never gets cloying. Very well done Ryan! 150812 madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - SEP 8, 2012

On tap at the King William IV - Witterfest. Opaque black beer, little tan head. Viscous soft palate - airy. Nice rich unsweet chocolate. A little coffee and a trace of vanilla. The soft palate keeps going, airy too! Tangy dark fruits bring up the rear. Soft semi dry finish. Nice.
