From tap at Fermentoren. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and crisp hoppy. Bitter, dark roasted and crisp hoppy. Bitter, dark malty and roasted into the finish. Bitter and dry roasted finish.

Draft. A black beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and chocoalte. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, alcohol, and chocolate, leading to a bitter and roasted finish.

Draught at Fermentoren. Black coloured with a medium sized beige head. Roasted aroma of caramel, roasted bread, coffee, hops and grass. Roasted flavour of grass, hops and licorice. Roasted finish.

On tap. Pours an opaque black with a thick and creamy light brown head. Very fresh citrusy hop aroma atop a bed of roast. Medium body, heavy roast, licorice and a solid hoppiness. Does perhaps get a little medicinal when you dig into it. Bitter finish from both roast and hops. Delish. 280712

Draft @ Fermentoren, Copenhagen. Pours a black color with a tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice aroma. Roasted malty licorice flavor with hoppy hints. Has a roasted malty licorice and chocolate finish with a bitter aftertaste.

On tap at the King William IV - Witterfest. Opaque black beer, good pale tan head. Smooth light palate, airy and a little soft. Mild roast and a little coffee. Nice rich malt cream, Trace of hop in the soft finish. Won over by the smoothness and richness of this one. Malty aftertaste.

Draught at Fermentoren, Copenhagen. Pitch black beer with a nice lasting brown/beige head. Malty fruity aroma, brown sugar, caramel, raisins, chocolate, cocoa powder, toffee, dades, prunes, licorice, coffee notes, hoppy, citrus, some vanilla. Hoppy roasted flavor, mint, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, prunes, some raisins, caramel, soot. Bitter chocolate finish with hay, caramel, cocoa powder and some citrus.

Keg at Witterfest (Fano meet the brewer), King William IV - 20/08/12. Dark black with a thin tan head. Hoppy nose, sweet malts, coffee and caramel. Tastes as nose allied to grassy tones, chocolate and pine. Medium bodied with a bitter dry finish, I really got this one!
