2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Proletariat. This is, in many ways, the most intense beverage I’ve ever tasted. The powerful hops combined with the bitter roast combine for an overwhelming, unpalatable bitterness. Lovely aroma, bounding with chocolate and tar never shows itself in the mouth. I wish I could drink this as it has so much potential.
This is a killer beer. It is awesome! Coffee, licorice, burnt malt, bitter, grassy hops, chocolate, and even some hints of citrus. I mean, come on, how can they make this beer and not have it near me at all times? Torture. If anyone wants to get me a Christmas or birthday present, this’ll suit me fine. 5000 (6900) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Draught @ Brouwer’s Café:   Deep brown, nearly black, moderate beige head, decent lacing.   Sweet roasted malts, coffee on the nose.   Similar on the tongue.   Some graham cracker too.   Moderate sweetness,
slightly astringent.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Slightly dry on the finish, roasty, lingering coffee.   Fairly good. sic1314 (4773) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - AUG 10, 2013
Poured deep dark brown with a healthy beige head. Aroma of roast malt, dark fruit and citrus hops. Medium to full body, flavour of a mixture of floral and orange hops with full bitterness. RexTalionis (3825) - FINLAND - JUL 29, 2013
Draught. Pours dark brown in color with a small creamy tan head. Milk chocolate and cold coffee in aroma.
Bit of berry sweetness as well. Bitter chocolate in taste, roasted coffee too. Ending is again more
loaded with cocoa powder and milk chocolate sweet kind of notes. tiong (7754) - Espoo, FINLAND - JUL 23, 2013

Pours pitch black with a large foamy brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, licorice, grassy hops and chocolate. Taste is roasty and bitter with notes of grassy hops, dark fruits, chocolate and loads of licorice. Finish is dry, roasty, almost burnt with licorice and grassy notes and a long lasting lingering bitterness. Tasty, balanced and quite bitter stout. Quite similar to Plevnan Siperia, which is one of my favorite beers. This one is not as perfectly balanced, but still very tasty.
(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20130722) The beer poured almost black and clear. Its head was large and light brown. Aroma had liquorice, chocolate, roasted malts and hops. Palate was full bodied with quite high carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, burnt malts, saltiness, liquorice, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. The excessive burntness made this beer too unbalanced to be a really good one. But it was still a good brew. Brandman (2964) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 22, 2013
Black body, light brown head. Aroma has roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, dark fruits, medicinal hops. Quite nice aroma. Flavour is less complex than aroma, but the roasted chocolate stout is coming through. Finwe (438) - Grankulla, FINLAND - JUL 21, 2013
