Januar bonus @Sørens. Black with a lasting tan head. Malty aroma with bread, chocolate and licorice. Well balanced, sweet chocolate and roast malt flavour, really nice with bready and raw cereal notes

Bottle. Pours a near pitch black beer with a very small beige head on top. Aroma has lots of coffee, touch of caramel and roasted malts. Flavor is bittersweet, lots of coffee backed up by caramel and a big roasted base. Nice drinkable, long bittersweet, malty finish. Well crafted, full bodied beer. Nice one. Bottle. Pitch black, beige head. In aroma cofee, some caramel, a little roastiness. Flavour is similar but melowed a little. The beer is quite smooth on the palate. Very drinkable one.

Bottle. Black oily pour, small brown head. Nice aroma of milk chocolate and salty licorice. Taste has a lot of salty ?drop?, almost silty. Little coffee in the finish. Too much licorice for my taste, I would have like more of the chocolate from the aroma.

12oz bottle at Torst pours a murky, opaque black with some ringing, creamy, beige head. Nose has a lot of roast, plenty of licorice too, chocolatey, malt, some molasses, maybe a little plum too. Flavor is sweet, malty, molasses, licorice, a little coffee, some brown sugar, some yeasty character too. Finishes sweet.

Bottle, 12C. Black with a coat of tan head. Roasty aroma with molasses, dark chocolate, dried figs, tar, some earthy mystery. Oily, almost flat. Sweetish dark sugars, bitter chocolate, dark berries/ light roasted coffee, kelp. Dry finish. Sweeter elements seem a bit cloying as it warms and although the finish is pretty dry makes it feel slightly disjointed. But plenty of intriguing things going on.
