I mean - is this a beer? I know that seasonings can be fun, but this dark custardy and tongue twisting monster is too much for me. The peanut is persent in the aroma but even more in the fat, fat taste. I small glass, and I mean small, will be just fine as a treat to go with the coffee perhaps. Even a small beer glass will be too big, although I guess a classic 0,2 l Kölsch glass would be ok.

Draft. A pitch black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has strong notes of peanuts, as well as lighter notes of roasted malt and something I can’t put a name to. The flavor is sweet with notes of strawberries, and peanut butter, as well as light notes of roasted malt, and alcohol, leading to a dry, roasted, and alcoholic finish. Nice blend.

Draft @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty woody port and peanut aroma. Roasted malty salty peanut and chocolate flavor with hints of berries. Has a roasted malty peanut finish with woody hints.

On tap. Pours black and opaque with a small, creamy brownish head. Interesting walnut aroma and an edge of tart prune juice. Distinctly full-bodied, again a lot of nutty accents - now both walnut and hazelnut (I was a bit surprised to learn that it was actually peanut). The tart prune notes return in the flavor and is a bit of a....required taste. Hardly any bitterness. Interesting. 211012

26-OCT-2012, draught @Mikkeller. Aroma is peanuts. Or peanut butter. Taste is peanut butter and tart red wine. Strange mix. The peanut butter would work on its own but this is a mess.

Black with no head. Aroma of roasted malt and peanuts, with notes of licorice, olive oil and hazelnut. Sweet fruity and roasted flavour with peanuts. Just too odd a flavour combination
