12oz bottle purchase from Olkonsortient (sp?) Aalborg.
Black with dense molasses head. Bit of chocolate in the nose but overall muted. Chocolate, whiskey, roasted flavors. Smooth and crisp carb. Nice beer, just not overwhelmingly interesting. Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JUL 17, 2012
0.33 l bottle. Black color. Sweet aroma with coffee, salty licorice, tar and wood. Sweet rich roasty flavor with smoke, coffee, salty licorice, wood, tar and bitter chocolate. Bitter, woody, smoky and roasty finish. Full body, fairly woody palate. Very complex and still in balance, very tasty. dlinn (141) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 12, 2012

Bottle: Thanks Papsø:
Pitch black pour, pitch black beer in glass with an almost pitch blackish brown medium sized vast amd slow disappearing (some dark brown islands) head. Guess together with Mikkellet George, theae twouat have been the best looking imperial stouts encountered! Get a watery mouth, let’s taste this one!
Smell roasted barleys, toffee, caramel, flowers, chocolate, coffee, coffee roast, creamy and softly/gentle burn or smoke something... Very light but something burned is.
Taste is inmense, deep and complex. A briliant mix of roasted barleys, roasted malts, coffee, dark chxolate, roasted herbs, a light smooth and hentle hit if liquorice, lot of smooth roast, a hint of dark fruitS, Some
Spices, light warmth but no alcohol (which the alcohol not there is good!) and some light smoke ashy somethingvut so well balanced. Smoked malts... Very nice bitter.
Aftertaste is lovely dark chocolate, some creamy notes, light to medium bitter, fine coffee roast and some grass. Delicious.
Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, full bodu abd a light creamy but more oily texture.
This beer is truely amazing, suprenely balanced, smooth and deep! Damn this is good! Divine! So smoothly balanced, no irritating nasty bitterness no irritating oatmeal. Just a good roast with smooth chocolate and coffee.

33 cl bottle @ Gastropub Nordic, BBE 2015Plovmand (8316) - Helsinge, DENMARK - JUN 14, 2012
Aroma is sweetish with lots of cocoa, some coffee and vanilla. Flavour is sweetish with licorice, cocoa and some coffee. Fruity hops in the finish. Oily palate that becomes a bit sticky towards the end of the glass. I find it hard to locate the smoke here.
Bottle at home. Pours jet black with a fast deminishing brown head. The aroma is tar, smoke, hard roasted malt and light chocolate. The flavour is loads of hard roasted malt, liquorice, chocolate, smoke and tar. bax (1311) - Hasselager, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUN 8, 2012
(bottle 09/06-2012) low brown head, black color, roasted aroma, soft co2, dry roasted taste. OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 6, 2012
Sampled from bottle @Ølbutikken. Body is black with dark brown edges. Low dense choco head. Ashy and well roasted dark malts to the nose. Full and complex with a big malt body. Smooth. Heavily roasted dark malts with a pretty nice smoke accent. Licorice notes and a just the right amount of bittering hops. Long roasty finish. Impressingly rounded and easy drinkable despite the bold flavors. FatPhil (16102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 4, 2012

Oooh, it’s a shame I was half way down the glass when I started writing notes, as the initial aroma and taste were way better than the later ones. Initially it’s a sweet burnt roast with just a touch of ham on the nose. The smoothness is palpable, and the burntness in the taste comes over as a little like greek coffee. Later, the retronasals come over as quite white winey (nt something I like) and with a fair bit of green apple, which again spoils it. The palate becomes way way too sticky, and I’m reticent to lick my lips to clean them, as I think my tongue is a carrier for chronic stickyitis. Some OK bitter bite, but it simply can’t compete with the carbohydrates and hydrocarbons. Alcohol is amateurishly hidden - It’s tenting like a teenager at a topless bar, but not actually coming in your face. Finish sticky, as I said earlier, and fairly pleasantly burnt. Does keep clear of dry chemical ashiness, fortunately. Didn’t really want to finish the glass, but I did because I’m a juovo.
