COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hopheads crusade on a heroic quest for the holy grail of India Pale Ales. The subconscious composes paradisiacal scenes of malty waves crashing on a ripe lupulin landscape cascading hop flavors and aromas in profuse abundance. With humble confidence we offer this brew as fantasy made reality. Balanced in every detail and gushing resinous, exceptional citrus flavors and aromas that collaborate with soft bready notes surrendered from premium English golden malted barley, this beer is a tropical dreamscape. Epic.

Pours a hazy golden color with speckles of sediment throughout. Head is fluffy and white. Aroma is juicy citrus, pine, and a good balance of sweetness and bitterness. Taste is bright tropical fruit (pineapple/citrus) with a balance of earth and yeast. Slightly dry on the finish. Great IPA.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, biscuit, light honey/toast, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, biscuit, light honey/toast, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/spicy/citrus peel bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.3%. Overall this is a great IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, easy, and pretty refreshing to drink. A really well balanced IPA that has great hop vibrancy, without being too bitter or drying. A very enjoyable offering.

pours a hazy orange with a smallish off white head. Strong citrus aroma. Nice oily resinous feel on the lips. Bright grapefruit/orange citrus taste. The hop bitter fades in and lingers pleasantly. A very good IPA. This hophead gives it 2 thumbs up!

Interesting? Unique? Or old, stale? Not sure. #1 put clear bottled on dates on your beers. If you care about your beer you will. Aroma lackluster....taste dies and gives you little...moderate bitterness. Long bad aftertaste. I don't like this bit who knows what the history if this bottle is. Their pale gave me hope but this was a let down. Pass if not improved ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear golden pour with a single finger head. Bubblegum aroma. Medium bodied. Taste is full of tropical fruit and citrus as well as bubblegum and a bit of pine. A hint of caramel malt, slightly bready. Citrus pith bitterness. Lace present. Lingering bitterness is pretty intense.

At least a dozen draught pints over the past year or more, most of them at the Milwaukee Grill in Janesville, WI, where I had it most recently this past Tuesday. Typical medium-amber color, lightly hazy/cloudy, with a bit of lasting head...aroma not atypical for the style, citrus and resin, mostly the latter, with a hint of interesting spiciness - coriander? and some juicier fruits, particularly as it warms...body only lightly sweet, strongly to aggressively bitter throughout, generally quite dry, light bit of barnyard yeastiness...finish is quite bitter indeed and long, body very full, almost heavy actually if one drinks it too fast, carbonation moderate to high. I generally prefer my IPAs a little sweeter and juicier than this, but the balance here is really excellent and the fullness of the body allows just enough sugar from the malt to creep in such that it remains drinkable; overall it is probably the driest IPA that I really enjoy, and its pretty close to perfect in the summer. Ive yet to try it bottled but Im sure that lack will be remedied soon. One of my favorite Midwestern IPAs for sure.

MaltOne (336) - Wisconsin, USA - AUG 14, 2016
UPDATED: AUG 14, 2016 Pours a hazy butterscotch, brief, lacy head. Resin, citrus nose. Flavor starts with big pine, then builds on a citrus, tropical fruit, all resting on a subtle biscuit malt. Nice lingering finish. Very nice IPA. Karben 4 is emerging with some really good beer.

Could be one of the better midwest IPAs Ive had in a while. Super fruity and goes down super easy. Smells great and tastes even better. Expect a boatload of citrus hops that finishes more like Donald Duck Apple Juice than bongwater.
