Reviewed from notes. Sampled side by side with the dark version at our DC tasting. Pours a ruddy orange in color with a small amount of off white head. Nose is comprised of must and some light oxidation. Tastes of indiscernible fruit (citrus?), spices, light funkiness, and finishes bitter. Light mouthfeel with light to moderate carbonation. Awesome to find this bottle and be able to try it side by side with the dark. 750, corked and capped. Thanks, M! Pours a cloudy medium amber with a loose white head. Sweet tangy nose, some caramel and maybe bits of coriander. Creamy medium body with soft carb. From a big corked bottle, at least 8 years old. Poured in a Scotch Silly tulip glass. Cork had a carbonation pop. Pours amber with head and lace. Aroma of tart and tropical fruit. Significant carbonation and mouthfeel...if not big!! Flavors of a slightly aged raspberry soda with some grains and very old hops. Add a touch of tart, wild strawberries & slight bitter roots. I’ve had this bottle since 2001 and thought I’d check it out after 12 years ageing. A brilliant orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sour fruity aroma. Tastes slightly sour, citrus fruit, apples, zesty. This aged rather well, I have another bottle in the cupboard, might keep that for another 12 years.

Courtesy of The_Beer_God at RB Richmond Gathering. Golden hazy with rocky moderatly persistent head. Carmel, honey and some cheese notes or top of some sour aromas. Sweet grainey malt with some alchohol warming then a peach/pear fruityness with a bit of carbonic bite from high carbonation. Bottle - corked and capped. Amber pour. Small white head. Nose is funky, slightly sour with leather, bits of cheese, wood and sweat. Taste is more funky yeast notes, wood, overripe fruit, sweet malts, herbs and faint spice. Bubbly body with some dryness. Finish is more funky, yeast, light spice, mellow maltiness, wood and herbs. Again, afterwards, the sediment is shaken and poured into my glass. I get a hot chocolate looking appearance with green apples in the nose and a caramel covered green apple with the taste. Like before, this seems like a new beer once the sediment has been added.
