BB backlog, Bomber bottle from Canals West Deptford. Pours an ultra hazy amber golden with large head which is usually case with these dudes. 750 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 2018. Pours hazy reddish orange/copper color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big lemon, apple, pear, peach, plum, apricot, fig, red/white grape, peppercorn, clove, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, light musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, apple, pear, peach, plum, apricot, fig, red/white grape, peppercorn, clove, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, light musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Moderate peppery/spicy bitterness and lightly tart/tangy yeast on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, apple, pear, peach, plum, apricot, fig, red/white grape, peppercorn, clove, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitter/spiciness, increasing thorough the glass. Medium-high carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth and creamy/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is and excellent dark saison. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Pana duża, dość gruba, szybko opada do chmurki. Barwa pomarańczowa, mętna. Aromat dośc słodki i funky - dojrzałe pomarańcze, morele, siano, pieprz... W smaku lekko kwaskowy, lekko słodki, do tego co w zapachu dochodzi brzoskwinia, czerwona porzeczka, zatęchła słoma... Goryczka niska, przyprawowa. 75cl bottle from Dany at the brewery in Soy. Pours cloudy deep amber, frothy effervescent off-white head. Aroma is earthy, saison-esque spice. Taste is rich spice, red wine oak, mild sherry. Tastes a lot richer and stronger than 4.7%. Extremely flavoursome, kinda tastes red wine barrel-aged with added bretty complexity. Another cracker from Dany! Bottle shared. Clear golden with big fluffy off white head. Grassy, quite some bitter herbs, lemon, orange, soft caramel, touch of spices but I don’t get much black pepper. ~10 years old. Copper orange clear color with foam layer. Sour and light acidic and salty nose. The taste is sour and milky salty with hints of soapy touch. Very weirdly clean offset in the aftertaste and a layer on the tongue.
