Bottle at THE Saison and Sour Tasting, London. Not sure who brought this [off-the-menu] bottle along. Pours ver cloudy brown with a fine, creamy, off-white head. Good and tangy aroma with some leather and ripe fruits. Light to medium sweet flavor with a bit of funk and tang, dry orange, more leather. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Bottle @ THE Sour Tasting. The pour’s deep amber orange with a small head. The nose is of orage, dusty fart, old library book stack. Some roasted malt. The taste is grassy countryside, farmhouse dust, some peppery lemon and spices. Light soft body, hints of anise too. Overall, a bit strange. Bière cuivrée/trouble, col beige voire jaunâtre.
Arôme présente un léger bouquet fumé avec un renforcement au niveau de la levure restant dans un style typiquement Fantôme.
Palais présente les caractéristiques de la base Fantôme, avec encore un aspect fumé, feuille de tabac, le tout couplé de qcq épices et une certaine épaisse visqueuse en bouche rappelant la version Pisse-en-lit. Pas dérangeant, mais je ne pense pas que cela soit le résultat escompté au départ. Cloudy orange colored pour. Big light orange colored head. Plenty of lacing. Plenty of stuff floating around in the mix. A sour hoppy aroma with hints of malt, but not much. A sweet and acrid taste right up front. A nice bitterness and a slightly spicy note. Bottle shared by DalzAle. Pours cloudy light brown with a quick little head that dissipates. Aroma is tart and somewhat oxidized with a mild chocolate tootsie roll scent. Taste is again more tart sour and oxidized with tootsie roll flavors (I am really digging this!) Palate is fizzy and chalky. May be past its prime, but I really liked the tartness!

Bottle thanks to the deliriumfest cellar sale! Very dirty dark brown pour, tons of carbonation and an aroma of sour tart cherries. Flavor is slightly oxidized chocolate malt, sour cherry rinds and slightly spicy pears and champagne. Not a bad beer at all, but I think it has seen better days. Bottle, 75cl. A hazy, dark golden-orange beer topped by a dense, light beige head leaving lacings. Surprisingly the aroma has some roasted, chocolatey hints, although the beer lacks the color one would expect for these aromas. Some dried fruits, a touch of tropical fruits, some yeast and some white sugar too. And some spices. Quite dry on the palate, medium bodied and softly carbonated. Are there some peated or roasted malt in here as well? Roasted hints, dried fruits, tropical fruits and yeast. Some bitterness shows up in the end. Bottle, courtesy of Meilby. Pours cloudy amber with grey head. Aroma of malt, spices, fruitiness, red and yellow apples and yeast. Flavor is sweet and fruity with some peat, leather, apple and burnt rope. Medium body, average carbonation. A strange one , but still nice.
