Really surprised reading the other reviews on this. This tastes to me like a smoked beer. Heavy smokey wood, bandaids, cloves, and bananas. Really odd in a fantome sort of way.

Yep it’s a fantome, over carbonated, gunpowder, basement, Danky floors, basements, banana, spices, so many flavors

Bottle shared at Peg’s. Murky yellow pour with a white head. Banana and clove aromas. Taste follows suit with biscuit and yeast highlights. Good body and mouthfeel.

Bottle @ Odense Tasting Feb. 2014. Insane gusher. The craziest ive seen to date. Pours murky unclear golden with a small white head. Caramel, yeast, baking dough, phenols. Tart fruity flavor. Im not completely diggin this. Chaotic!

Lubiere (14151) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 16, 2013
A golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, strange peppery malt with weird Italian herbs, and chemical character. In mouth, a weird peated malt with light cherry notes, lactic acid, interesting. Sampler at Battle of the Belgians at Jimmys 43.

Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. On Halloween! Clear amber colour. Minimal, but lasting, white head. Has the Fantome over cooked veg thing going on. Lots of barley sugar. Some spice, definitely clove. Some ginger, maybe. Hint of ripe dessert apple. Nice body, carbonation helps cut through any overt sweetness. Taste is apple dry and toffee sweet, all at the same time. Finishes medium dry. Mouth filling Autumnal goodness. Not the best, but you can’t deny it’s interesting!!

Bottle... Cloudy straw-cored pour with a small, creamy, white head. The aromatics are of perfume and smoked malt. Medium-bodied with jazzy carbonation. The flavor is tart, oddly salty and herbal - not unpleasant. Finishes tangy with a tiny pinch of salt.
