Pours bright golden with nice white head. Looks about like most other Fantomes.
Aroma is sweet and maple-y, loads of caramel. Some citrus also.
Flavor is very sweet and like maple syrup, weird. There are hints of orange peel and hints of that classic Fantome funk. As it warms the maple calms down but it is still one of the weirder Fantomes I’ve ever tried.
Medium body, nice carbonation.

(Fantome Clos Preal 2011). Hazy amber colour, small white head. Aroma is mild spices, citrus, some floral notes along with mild mold and caramel. Flavour is mild yeast, spices, some wooden and resiny notes. Good, but still a slight disappointment for being a Fantome...

2013) Hazy golden with a small head. Anise and licorice in the nose. Licorice, yeast, smooth alcohol, light spiciness, some metal in the flavor. Medium to full body, soft CO2. Not very interesting for a Fantome; clean and unmemorable.
Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of Dave. Thanks buddy!! Pour is hazy orange with a small white head. Banana, clove, coriander, tart, malty, caramel, light toffee, and red licorice in the aroma. Taste is somewhat oxidized, cardboard, tangy, banana, lemon, caramel, and doughy with a touch of spice on the backend. Medium body with soft carbonation. Not bad. arminjewell (9689) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 20, 2013
Pour out of 750 mL, 2011 bottle, thanks a ton! Hazy orange pour with nice white head, aroma brought notes of some slight vanilla, honey, slight biscuit, bread, and yeast, hints of slight funky fruit notes, hints of green tea notes. Taste is a mix of slight white fruit, biscuit, bread, slight biscuit, lots of odd funky fruity notes with lots of green tea, herbal notes, finishing slightly bitter. Tasty, but different.

(Bottle, 0.75 l - 2011 Vintage, at HBF2013) The beer poured golden and orange. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, farmhous and honey. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, honey, sweetness, grass and bitterness. Afteraste was fruity and bitter. Does not taste like a Fantôme beer at all. A good beer but I feel cheated. ThirstyBird (2971) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2013

Cloudy orange to muddy brown beer, no noticeable head. Aroma: pretty fruity, peaches, bit sugary, soapy touch, citrus, floral. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: citrus, floral, bit soapy, fruity touches, hops, pineapple. Aftertaste: pretty grassy hops, citrus, fruity, bitter dry ending.
Orange golden colour, white head. Aroma of apricot, peach, light funky saison notes, yeast and candy sugar. Quite bitter flavour, malts, quite fruity. Spicy finish, fruity and floral notes.
The 7th and last beer in the Fantôme tasting spree. Amusing.
