75cl bottle from Etre Gourmet. It pours a cloudy rich golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is earthy yeasty with light sweet malts pineapple caramel wood and vanilla. Taste is also earthy dirty quite sweet with more notes of esters pears caramel and citrus. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, a bit messy and unspectacular. Bottle - Peppery and nice funk. Cloudy gold with a bright white large head. Peeper, stone fruit and very effervescent. Bright flavors and nice. Suttree (6505) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 4, 2015
2011 version, from grownfool - thanks! This was odd. Seemed kind of like a mix between a barleywine and a saison. It was very heavy, almost to distraction. Lots of sweet, flowery flavors mixed a good deal of alcohol and funk. Kind of a chore to finish, actually... wedgie9 (2703) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 24, 2014
Batch #2Alengrin (5722) - BELGIUM - AUG 15, 2014
From notes. Tasted on 6/30/12 at the 1st Annual Chimipalooza, from a 750mL bottle. Pours hazy golden red with a thick white head that leaves average, messy lace. The nose is spicy hops and Belgian yeast with some wheaty malt. The flavor has much more hoppy bitterness with the same spiciness and wheat malt from the nose. The body is medium with just under average carbonation and a long hoppy bitter finish.
Advertized as a "bière de garde de grande classe", commissioned by a local beer shop. Another weird spice ale from Fantôme, with off-white, stable head and murky ochre blonde colour with lots of sediment at the bottom. Aroma of pineapple, yeast, earth, lemon peel, white pepper, melon, vanilla. Very fruity taste (melon, peach), vanilla touch, dry yeastiness on a caramel malt base, straw-like, leafy hops in the finish, ending dry and complex. Not my favorite as far as Fantôme is concerned, though I am a fan of this brewery.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a huge white head. Aroma brings out spicy Belgian yeast, caramel and bready malt. Flavour is quite spicy, with lots of Belgian yeast, alcohol, caramel and bready malt. Quite complex, and the ABV is hidden quite well. An unusual beer for Fantome. Very good stuff. Bottle: Poured a dirty hazy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of rustic Belgian malt base with some herbal notes clearly identifiable. Taste is also dominated by rustic malt base with some unique herbal notes with light peppery yeast notes. Body is full with limited filtration and great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Another superb creation from Fantome. jtclockwork (17284) - , New Jersey, USA - MAR 4, 2014
Bottle. 2011. Pours orange gold with white head. Nose and taste of dried orange peel, bready malt, orange sherbert, mild spice, earth, bubblegum and light clove. Medium body. Dry finish. Interesting. AdamChandler (5181) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 4, 2014
