Bottled sample. Dark gold in colour with strong carbonation. Lots of spicy oragano on the nose, backed by funk, black pepper, and minerals. Flavors are of pale malts, juicy meyer lemon, more oregano, and some lactic sourness that seemed to build and get somewhat opressive the more I drank. The lactic note continued long into the finish, mixing with some spicy heat. I liked the oregano, but the other elements of the beer were just plain weird.

Bottled. An unclear light yellow beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, eraser, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus, coriander, and malt, leading to a dry and tart finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

750 ml @ Ebenezer’s; glowing orange and mostly clear with trace white head; pears, dried flowers, lemony zing; dried fruit, wheat and honey; with mild pepper in the mouthfeel with yummy spelt and honey; reminding me a little of Saison dEpeautre, but working much better here; oranges, lemons with a touch of the expected Fantôme farmhouse funk; bone dry finish and a little chalky, but still retains a tasty mix of lemons, dried oranges, honey and wheat; really nice to enjoy after Chris popped a spanking fresh bottle of the regular saison as a comparison; lest of that intense mango freshness and more a creamy mix of honey, oats and wheat; quite nice overall and a Fantôme I had never heard of before today, so a nice way to cap off my first visit at Ebenezer’s
