Shared by MaxPapi @ BCTC, thanks a lot. I will conceptualize this beer as Max prefaced it... LEMON. No idea what they did but it was crazy lemon all around. I can’t tell you what the shit looked like.. um.. lets say golden. What I can say it is was lemon and had a weird stingy feel to it. The fucking dude knows how to fucking fuck around with beer. Thanks a fucking lot Max. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - AUG 3, 2009

A hazy golden ale with a thick off white head. An interesting aroma of clover hoeny and light orange pulp, bees wax. In mouth, a sweet candy sugar, with lemony accids, coriander, a bit short in mouth. 750 mL bottle from Bieropholie. Tasted June 20 2009. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 11, 2009
Bottle. hazy orangey amber with a steady head. Intense fruity aroma, lots of orange (to be expected from Gilles) and mandarine. Spicy orange and lemon flavours, noticeable alcohol, good balance. Another unique beer from Fantôme. probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 22, 2009

App.: Cloudy orange-amber with a nice white foam.
Aroma: Spicy, funky, musty orange/citrus, yeast and wet bread dough, bitter herbs, white pepper, some sweet floral honey, quite fruity.
Palate: Medium body with lively effervescence.
Flav.: lots of juicy orange, orange peel, spice, coriander, spiciness, some yeast, bitter herbs, light funk; kinda sweet but also bright with some bitterness to balance.
A very drinkable and enjoyable ale. Would be great for a patio on a hot day.
Bottle shared with, and courtesy of MartinT. Dark yellow. Full white head. Dark citrus peel and juice aroma. Strong citrus and Belgian spice flavour with a hint of darker malt. Belgian IPA and citrus peel. MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 9, 2009
My Bottom Line:rederic (3337) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 23, 2009
An explosion of citrus fruit peels slowly leads to spicy herbs and bitter hops in this foamy and idiosyncratic Fantôme brew.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy head of foam stays atop the cloudy blond.
-The citrusy zest perfume and flavors might be too much for an instant, but the segue to herbal leafiness is impressively harmonious.
-This was quite drinkable, leading me to believe that this ale was below the advertised 8% abv.
-The citrus character is redolent of grapefruit zest, tangerines and yuzu lemons.
750ml bottle, hazy gold hue, with a fluffy white head, yeasty, spicy fruity nose of floral hop leafy mintiness, with some orange, tangerine, ande lemon zest esters, with a hint of coriander, lemon grass spiciness, with a mild honeyed pale malt accent in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity, spicy character of lemon, orange, tangerine, manderin zestiness, with a hint of star anise, ginger, lemon grass spiciness, with a some honeyish pale malt, and flowery hop, leafy citrusy, minty notes, leading towards a fruity, lemon, orange zesty, lingering hop dryness finish. travita (5003) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 10, 2009
