Bottled on November 17, 2012, thanks to Ingo! Capped and corked bottle.
Clear golden color, big fluffy lasting white head. Sprite, lemon, soda/pop/soft drink, acidic, some yeast scent. Spicy, lemon juice, harsh bitter, astringent, pith taste. Medium mouthfeel, dry harsh medium high bitterness.

750, corked and capped. Thanks, M! Wish you could have enjoyed all these yourself of course, but we would like to think we did you proud by taking care of them well and enjoying them socially. This one pours hazy pale gold with a loose white head. Light funky lemon and maybe a bit of basement on the nose, kinda flabby and closed out with a bit of laundry there as well. Watery thin body, minimal carb. Laundry and a bit of funk on the mid palate. Probably did not benefit from years and years in the cellar. Curious what it might be like fresh.

750 ml bottle poured a hazy gold with a small lasting white head. aromas of straw, yeast and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, yeast and a hint of citrus with a crisp dry lingering straw finish.

Bottle at Scott’s Summer Saison tasting 2014. Pour is clear golden with a big white head and good lacing. Honey, straw, light spice, lemon peel, light smoke, and bandaid in the aroma. Taste is straw, phenolic, tangy, lemony, biscuit, and grass with a lightly tart finish. Medium body with high carbonation. OK.

Reviewed from notes. Believe this bottle was provided by Patty and Jay, thanks for completing the pair you guys. Opened at Fantomefest 2014. Pours a hazy blonde/pale yellow color with maybe a fingers worth of white head. Nose and flavor mirror each other here, whereas most people found their bottles to be tart and funky, this did very little to stray from the blonde-like ale profile I thought it had. It was dry, a little biscuity, with some grassiness, and just a touch of acidity. Light mouthfeel, good carbonation, clean finish. Not a bad beer by any means, but lacked the complexity of the better Fantomes. I much preferred the Pietrain Ambree to this bottle.

Bottle at barely legal tasting room . Pours blonde , big white foam Smell is thick , grains , hay , sweet , funk . Taste is smoky infected , yet sweet , yet grainy . Wattery mouthfeel . .

Sampled at RBBSG II 75cl bottle thanks to sebletitje. Pours a hazy apricot color with a tine off-white head. The smell is fruity and funky. The taste is funky and sour with a crisp dry aftertaste. Light+ body with nice crisp carbonation. Really nice, crisp and sour.

pushkinwow (2826) - Ottawa, CANADA - DEC 28, 2013
750ml bottle from Kamiel. Pale copper with a creamy and large off white head. Belgian yeast, fresh, grass, grain, some apple, hay, a bit of smoke. High carbonation, moderate body, slightly woody spike to it, alcohol and a pear cider sweetness to the finish that is cut but an underlying herbal bitterness. Had no idea what to expect on this one and it was quite tasty and interesting.

(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of pineapple, citrus, yeast, florals, and earth. Flavor of florals, caramel, citrus, yeast, sulfur, and herbs with a dry, moderately bitter finish.

DavoleBomb (1867) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 25, 2013
Poured into a snifter. 2011 vintage. 4.0 A: Mildly hazed golden wheat color. Big foamy white head. I needed a few pours to get the glass full. Retention is pretty good and plenty of lacing is left. 4.0 S: Very interesting nose on this. Spruce herbalness with hints of birch. Lemon, apple, and pear fruitiness. Lemongrass, light peppery yeast, and a touch of mustiness. Through and through, this is the most "coniferous" beer I’ve had without it being piney. Unique, but also exceedingly pleasant. 3.5 T: Taste is a lot less sprucy, but is quite good nonetheless. Lemongrass more than lemon in the taste with apple and pear fruits still being there. Musty cardboard, but not in the bad way. Dirty earthiness, apple orchard, and dry dusty wood. Mild bitterness. Lots of generic herbalness, if that makes sense. Dry, but not super dry. This is easily the most earthy and dry of Fantome’s saisons (at least of the ones I’ve had), but is still quite interesting. 3.5 M: Light to lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation that is lightly spritzy. Smooth enough and fine overall, but is just missing the balance of fizzy and creamy. 3.5 D: This is probably my least favorite Fantome beer, but it’s still pretty good, so that should tell you something about how I feel about the brewery. Interesting to say the least, so give it a try if you come across it. Serving type: bottle 11-03-2012 04:48:15

emacgee (4680) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - JAN 26, 2013
Viscous cloudy pour with a very light carbonation and thin head. Nice nose, light tartness and green apple skin. Heavy bread dough and granny smith apple character. Medium body with a tart finish.
