Bottle split with wife pour dark borwn, active tan head that reduces to a cap. Dust earthy notes, slght citrus, and roasted malt. Light to medium body.

From Tercertiempocervezas. In Teku glass. Playing Life is Strange Ep 3. In spite of the geyser and overfoam, it doesnt feel overcarbonated. The cascadian dark notes are very tasty and combines well with bb its lightly saisonesque character

Sovereign, bottle: pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is yeasty, chalky, hoppy, some chocolate. Taste is lightly bitter. Almost Belgian and has a sort of sour note, but in a good way. Nice complexity. Very tasty.

Clear light dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, moderate hoppy, grapefruit, licorice, peppery, light funky, . Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice, sweet malt, fruity, dark malt, peppery. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Bottle, pours cloudy brown with high beige head. Aroma of chocolate, leather, earth, barnyard, licorice and toast. In taste stoutish with light sweetness and a both hoppy and roasty bitter finish. When it gets warmer the bitterness becomes a bit stalky and unpleasant. Easy drinkable and realy not bad.

Sampled May 19, 2017.

Pours dark brown with some chunks at the bottom. The cork pushed it’s way out once decapped and it foamed up pretty good but never overflowed. It’s moderately hoppy and very bitter (possibly due to the carbonation). Slightly chocolatey and grassy too. Not too much roast for what I was expecting. Not bad.

Bottle shared by t0rin0. Pours black with brown highlights and a medium, frothy beige head, medium retention. Aroma is heavy roast and chocolate malt, earthy and minty hops with leather notes. Flavor is heavy roast and chocolate malt, prunes, leather, medium earthy and spicy hops and bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

750mL bottle. Pours dark dark brown with a medium, bubbly light tan head. Aroma is pine, sweet malt, toast, earthy hops, and some licorice. Taste is roast, licorice, dark malt, light chocolate, wood, earthy hops, and pepper. An earthy dryness. Slight bitterness. Medium body. Initially, over-carbonated; fizzy and high. Somewhat watery thin and the carbonation gives a sprtizy, over-Brett’ed airy feel to the mouth. Mouthfeel and overall taste improve greatly as the beer warms: carbonation settles down into something more average; mouthfeel becomes slicker and less thin. It’s almost a completely different beer slightly chilled rather than refrigerator temperature.

Bottle. Opened sedately but poured almost black with a huge tan head. Aroma of toast, roast, licorice, grapefruit, pine, minor mysterious herbal notes. Medium bodied, quite fizzy. Malty but really quite dry with the roast and bitterness concomitantly more prominent. Dark chocolate, some licorice, pine and herbal notes. I liked it more as it lost some fizz. Odd how it seemed quite grapefruity at first and then woody and stouty after a time. A bit ashy at the end. Hah - The restoppered bottle in the kitchen has formed an inch of head and the stopper hits the ceiling when reopened.
