In the small village of Ohis, France, there's a young girl named Justine who needs our help. Justine is suffering from a rare, neurological condition known as leukodystrophy, which often leads to paralysis, and we are all trying to raise money for her desperately-needed operation.

Brasserie Fantôme's Dany Prignon, and his brewer friend Gilles Didier (who lives in Ohis), conceived the brilliant idea of brewing a special beer to be sold at auction to raise money for this operation. So they they created a special, strong version of Dany's rare and delicious Pissenlit saison, brewed with dandelions. This is a one-time, very limited edition -- only 20 bottles are available! Each bottle has been numbered and signed by Dany and Gilles, and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the European Leukodystrophy Association, which is trying to help Justine.

Orange pour with off white head and lace. Dark fruit and a hinto cherry. Soy sauce, a hinto brown sugar, and a tart fruity flatness. A bit thin and watery. Different to say the least. much thanks to FalcoAlto

Bottle generously shared @ RBWG (18/20) by FlacoAlto...thank you, my friend!!! Truly amazed that I got an opportunity to try this. This one pours a cloudy chestnut/amber with a wispy white head. Aroma is biscuit, caramel, lemongrass, and tea. Flavor is a bit fruity with honey, cherries, citrus, and black tea. Can’t at all distinguish the 12% ABV...beautifully hidden. Nice!!!

dionysus (1486) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 4, 2011
Bottle generously shared by FlacoAlto at AZRBWG. Pour is hazy copper with a khaki head. Aroma shows notes of black tea, tobacco leaves, lemon zest, dandelion, and some additional herbal/floral qualities. Flavor shows the same with additional notes of onion, white pepper, red apples and a touch of funk. Very pleased to have been able to sample this rarity, thanks Sebas! I never would have guessed the ABV in a million years.

fata2683 (2176) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAR 28, 2011
sampled during the 2011 RBWG weekend bottle thankst o Sebastian for sharing. Pours a hazy orange with a medium to thin off white head. Aroma is toast, floral, sweet bread malts. Flavor is mildly sweet and tea like, caramel, some bits of stale malts and again floral in the finish. It’s really nice how soft of a beer it is given the abv, the flowers really shine.

Savvy1982 (1706) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 23, 2011
Bottle at RBWG 2011 Grand Tasting. Pours hazy tawny red-brown; medium tan head, spotty lacing. Nose is brandied fruit, dandelion, spicy cherries, cardamom pods, lemon. Flavours of lemon, really amazed how strong the ’preserved lemons’ character is with this beer... Further notes of dry spice, peppers, nice dried fruit, pineapple, red delicious apples. Good, but there’s no way I can see giving this over a 4. That universe doesn’t exist for me, apparently. Perhaps the Rare receptors on my tongue are already overloaded...

750 ml bottle number 18/20. Thanks big time to Sebastian for this, you are the man. Pours a somewhat cloudy copper color with a small white head. A sweet fruity herbal nose, actually I get some funk in here. The flavor was a rich unusual Belgian Strong Ale; dusty and quite dry, smooth fruitiness but not an easy flavor to pick out, pears and wild apples, funky for sure, herbal flavors (Dandelion?). A very smooth brew, almost not notice of any heat. Very nice, a true honor to drink this.

(sample courtesy of Flacoalto at RBWG. Thanks Sebastian!!) Pours a hazy caramel color. Taste had notes of sweet tea, earthiness, roots, and some anise. Taste was similar. Medium bodied with a dry finish. I feel very lucky to have tried this.

Its hard to put this in a catagory. To have such a rare beer makes its so special. To have it in the presents of such a fine group of people, (RBWG), makes it even more special. Thank you Flacoalto for sharing this! A herbal nose of summer flowers, leafy. Musty. A earthy and even a ice tea taste. I was lucky to get the tail end of this beer, (the dreggs). I feel blessed to be part of this tasting.

10th rating. Many thanks to FlacoAlto for pouring this at RBWG 2011. Pours a hazy amber color with a trim beige head. Smells of lavender and honey. Tastes of iced tea, lemon rind, and pureed dandelions. Heavenly.
