This beer entry represents the old label versions (no longer in production) of the four seasonal Fantôme beers (Printemps, Été, Automne, and Hiver), which used to all be packaged with a "Saison d'Erezée" label (with the specific season in smaller letters). The label shown to the left is the Hiver version of Erezée.

Ungstrup (38238) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 16, 2013
Bottled. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, malt, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of maltc, dusty hops, and over ripe fruits, leading to a bitter finish.

joergen (28949) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 18, 2005

Bottled (8%m, Fantome Saison dErezée Hiver ’98-99). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is spices, some sour wood and mild peppery notes. Flavour is wood, some sour fruits, quite spicy as well as some earthyness. A bit earthcellary notes as well. The aging might be the reason why this is quite mellow. Still very nice.

Bottled at PBF (as Saison d’Erezée Hiver ’98-99, 8%). Lightly hazy golden, almpst no head. Citric winegum aroma with beginning cardboard behind. Very dry and fairly light bodied. Fantôme’s trademark winegum flavour here mixes with slight oxidized paper. Finised somewhat acetic.

Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 7, 2005
UPDATED: JUL 20, 2005 (Bottle 75 cl) Vintage 1996 "Automne". - red label. Dark amber with a fluffy yet collapsing head. Extreme, lumpy yeast sediment. Very fresh, slightly sourish with only a hint of bitterness in the finish. Some indefinable herbal spicyness. Rather solid yet unrefined beer. 190698

(Bottle 75 cl) Vintage 1999 "Hiver". Hazy light brown, small off-white head. Unpleasant smell of... cow-manure? Very soft and lightly spicy with a slight underlyimg tartness. But a bit old and tired. 6/2/5/2/12=2,7

Koelschtrinker (21118) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 16, 2011
Test vom 7.1.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,10,9,12,9,10 - 10,30

fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 16, 2013
Corked bottle, Winter edition, vintage 98/99, 15 years old
Hazy golden color with medium sized head. Strong cork aroma and wood, very light vinegar. Thin body but smooth mouthfeel; some malt flavor, it has developed some Brett, and there is some woody astringency and tannins, to stand for the fading bitterness.
Still well drinkable.

TBone (17989) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 3, 2009
Bottled alc. 8% (PBF, Hiver version, vintage 1998-1999) Golden color, small white head. A bit earthy, white peppery aroma. Flavor is also a bit peppery, tart, fruity flavor. Active carbonation. Quite different than the average Fantome, probably because of ageing.
