4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750ml bottle at Fantome-a-thon 2012.
Pours the same exact color and clarity of the regular 11, which is really confusing because it is supposed to have cherries and raspberries in it. The aroma and flavor are both completely dominated by raspberries, to the point that I wish it was a bit more subtle. Behind the raspberries you’ll find some cherry and even a touch of saison. Letting it warm to room temp brings out some of the tropical fruits that are present in the regular 11.
A little back story, as it was told to me (not sure how accurate this is):
There are roughly 100 bottles (around 20 gallons) of each batch of Sante made every year for a charity dinner and each dinner benefits a different charity. But you already know that part. Where it gets interesting is that this was supposedly taken from the main batch of 11, meaning that there are even less bottles of this as well as the regular 11. Please remake the 11 Dany.
Backlog from Fantome tasting in DC. Big thanks to Brad for sharing this bottle! Pours a little darker shade of orange in comparison to the regular Sante 11! with a similar level of carbonation. Nose is loaded with raspberry, actually pretty reminiscent of Lou Pepe Framboise in my opinion. Flavor is a little on the sweeter side, but it has excellent balance. Medium bodied with just a touch of acidity. Pretty exciting to have the opportunity to try this beer. Still had a significant amount of fruit present for a saison this old. While it may be a bit "simple" to liken this to LPF, the similarities between the 2 are pretty striking. It must’ve been a great raspberry harvest in 2007. Santé 1-19 vertical. Thanks Brad.
Light orange body, mild haze, thin off-white collar. Fabulous fruity aroma! Maraschino cherries, cherry juice, raspberry jam. The flavor is all about the berry jam. Fruity and soft on the palate. Delicate sweetness. Delicious. gunnfryd (14872) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 15, 2014

Bottle 750ml. @ [ Fastelavn Smagning - Carnival Tasting, Ulfborg ].
[ As Fantôme Santé-11! Rosé ].
Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate to heavy raspberry, tart raspberry, some spicy - peppery notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and acidic with a long duration, raspberry, tart, spicy, funky notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bucketbooooyyyy! Wow, rare kids! The beer pours thick cherry amber unclear with a decent white head and light pinkish hue. The aroma brings light cherry and raspberry juices like a spritzer with a bit of herbs, a bit too gentle for my palate but still delicious! Flavor brings a bit of spiciness from the herbs with light berries on the flavor gentle but so pleasant on the tongue.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 1 - 01/03/14.
Clear golden with a moderate off white covering that retains well.
Nose is perfumed, raspberries, light dank woody tones, raspberry syrup, tangy berry fruit but all revolves around the raspberries.
Taste comprises raspberry syrup, straw, pale malts, light bread dough, dank wood, a little must, funk, more berry fruits.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweet pangs in the close.
Ok stuff, big raspberry vein running throughout, a little sweet but in check. yngwie (17049) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 1, 2014
Bottle, 75cl. A clear one, lightly sparkling, golden in color and with a small, white head. The aroma has a pleasant raspberry touch, but it also has a touch of the bittering raspberry seeds I’m not too fond of. Not much cherry detected. Pretty weak besides the raspberry, but some notes of generic fruityness is present. The flavor has lots of raspberry, with some pale malts and fruityness in the back. A little bitterness too. Long, raspberry finish with some lemony hints. Dryish, but with a touch of sweetness, and a pleasant carbonation level. Some pepper in the very finish. Overall, a nice one indeed, but I prefer the regular Santé-11. Meilby (11495) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 1, 2014
