Bottle at home with friends. Pour is golden yellow with a frothy white head and good lacing. Honey, herbal, pepper, slightly funky, grassy, biscuit, and flowers in the aroma. Taste is herbal, lemon peel, citrus, honeycombs, light tropical fruits, bretty, and bread. Medium body with high carbonation. Not bad, but not a superior saison by any means. cubs (10693) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 15, 2012
Bottle @ Stephen’s house. Big thanks to Stephen / Steve_0 for sharing! Pours a milky yellow orange appearance with a small, disappearing white head. Kind of juicy, floral, spicy pepper, straw yeasty, light orange aroma. Tangy yeasty, chewy straw, orange peel flavor with a tangy, peppery, dry finish. Kind of an interesting beer but not my favorite from them. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - DEC 15, 2012
Pour out of 750 mL bottle, thanks Stephen! Hazy orange with white head, aroma brought notes of white pepper, herbal, slight funk, hints of earth, slight white vinegar, touch of earth, very odd, almost a green tea like aroma. Taste is a mix of sweet tea, green tea, white pepper, hints of earth, finishing fairly sweet, slightly bitter, dry. joergen (28982) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 14, 2012

Bottle, 75 cl. very hazy orange with a small white head. Very herbal and phenolic nose with notes of grains, sulphor and cabbage water. Taste is - if possible - much the same: grainy, sweet malty, light sulphor with a whiff of orange. Strangely enough - especially for a Fantome Brew - a miss a little acidity to balance the brew. Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of straw and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and over ripe fruits, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing. yespr (47077) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - DEC 13, 2012

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy golden with floating impurities and a white head. Odd herbal aroma - very Fantôme. Medium body, sweet and fruity with loads of herbs and odd phenols. No real hop character though. 131212 FlacoAlto (4220) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - DEC 9, 2012
The beer pours into my Bruery tulip with a frothy, pale, off-white colored head. The beer is an amber color that shows a lightly hazed, orange tinged, faint amber hued color when held up to the light. The aroma has quite a bit of fruit to it, lots of cantaloupe, star-fruit, some sort of musky tropical fruit, some floral grassy notes, lots of flower nectar character that isn’t quite concentrated enough to be called honey. I like that there is a touch of tartness to this brew, it helps balance the fruit character and the soft, pale cracker like and straw like malt character.
This is lightly carbonated, but still quite prickly, a light tartness also seems to accentuate this character. There is an herbal, slightly bitter, dried weed like character to the finish that helps to balance the up-front fruit and tartness. The bitterness actually lingers in the long finish with a quite a bite. Melon and green tropical fruit notes (sort of star fruit, green but floral guava, and a slight lemon like character. Musty notes intermingle with lightly oxidized, dusty pale malt, and there is quite a bit of earthy, herbal character, a touch of white pepper notes, and even some musty woodiness.
This is starting to oxidize a bit, but still shows remarkable similarity to the 14! And 15! that I had recently; remarkable b/c these all have a consistent character. Another fantastically tasty beer from Fantôme. I wish I had more of these Santés to try.
