DavoleBomb (1867) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 25, 2013
Poured into a tulip. A bit of light foaming up from the bottle. 3.5 A: Murky dark yellow color. One and a half fingers of frothy white head. Retention is a bit below average and a short ring of lacing is left. 4.0 S: This smells a little bit like Sante 12 in that it has a lime fruitiness apparent. It isn’t as strong in this year’s version though. Lemon is right up there with the lime and apple is underneath. Hay, yeast, rotting wood, forest after a rain, and a bit of wildflower. Mild, well received bready sweetness. Very pleasant with a good mix of fruitiness and funk. 4.5 T: This tastes great! Super complex with well integrated flavors. Lemon, lime, apple fruits again. Wildflowers are much more prominent in the taste. Quite floral actually, much more than the nose suggests. Hay, rotting wood funk, wet outdoors, a bit of basement, and earthy dirtiness. Really well balanced overall with just enough sweetness to complement the floral and herbal notes. 4.0 M: Light to lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. The only thing I’d like would be some spritziness in the carboantion. Nice creaminess though. 4.0 D: Very tasty brew. Fantome is the king of saisons. Even HF can’t compete. Bottle at Bruce’s, London - big thanks to Paul. Pours cloudy, soupy gold with very little head. Nose has a lot of grapefruit in the nose, urine; smells good, really. Light to medium sweet flavor, plenty of tangy citrus, more grapefruit, tangerine, a bit of Tang drink, slight herbs. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. Lightly tangy finish, citrus fruits, grapefruit and tangerine, hints of pee, suggestions of bubblegum. Novel and quite tasty.

Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 25, 2013
In short: A herbal pale Belgian ale of some kind, very weird, not very easy to drink.
How: Bottle 750ml, capped & corked. Purchased recently but the bottle is probably a little more than 2 years of age (unless it was bottled more than once).
The look: Cloudy peach color body topped by a medium white head with good retention. Last glass of bottle was grossly muddy with no head.
In long: Intense nose that is herbal, spicy, musty, camomile, vegetal, barnyard, sage. Really strange aroma even by Fantôme standard. Taste is wet hay, a whole lot of weird herbs, fruits flesh, dried flowers, a spiciness that evokes some kind of fusion world cuisine dish, mint, camomile, bamboo, I’m at a loss for words here. Ok mouthfeel with medium body and medium carbonation. I’m usually on board with most of Dany’s crazy experiments but once in while he misses the target for me, this this Santé-14 is a rare Fantôme fail for me, the beer was entertaining because so weird, but not very drinkable. What a letdown, I was as disappointed as a dude with a foot fetish who rented the movie "Happy Feet" (and then desperately tried to jerk off to cute dancing penguins anyway).

19/I/13 - 75cl bottle from Être Gourmet @ RBBWG 2013 - BB: n/a (2013-54)

Pretty cloudy, yellow to murky beige beer, small white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: citrus, rotten fruits, dirty, chloride. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: citrus, soapy, bitter, grapefruit, chemical. Aftertaste: chloride, bitter, citrus, it’s pretty bad. This beer has not kept well. Next ones I’ll try to find faster and drink them before they go bad.

jtclockwork (17264) - , New Jersey, USA - JAN 30, 2013
Bottle on random Wednesday. Pours gold in first glass and then gets cloudier and muddier with each pour. Nose of peeled grapes, honey, malt, yeast, mixed florals, exotic and tropical fruits and hints of thyme or sage. Taste is same, but a bit muted. Later in the bottle there are peach notes. Finishes with mixed spices. Medium body.

Martinus (4701) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - JAN 23, 2013
Golden colour, white head. Light sour aroma, floral, citrus, yeast, funky saison notes. Light sour flavour, yeast, somewhat herbal. Tart finish, citrus, citrus peel and hay.
The 6th beer in the Fantôme tasting spree.

Thx! to Tim for sharing this one. 75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2013. Very pale golden. Smell is very floral, funky, horse blanket, herbal with flowers,… Taste is floral, bit oxidized, herbal, fair amount of yeast and spice, nectar and flowers, light mustiness, hay, touch forest. Body is lightly thinned out. Very nice but not as top as the 12 was.
