750ml bottle at Fantome-a-thon 2012.
Pours bright orange color, mostly clear, dark yellow head, little retention. Aroma is orange, grapefruit, and caramel. Flavor is real citrusy (again with orange and grapefruit), sweet, caramel, somewhat malty, and all around fairly balanced. Very nice.
Poured from a bottle.
Aroma is floral and musty. Some green apple, pear and grapes with a bit of nail polish. A bit of a weird cheesy funk as well. Some cork notes and a bit of oxidation. Some medium light acidity as well.
Pours a hazy, bright copper color with a medium sized, moderately thick white head that recedes to a film that lingers.
Flavor is not as nice as the aroma. Lots of apple, honey and cork. Some green apple, citrus notes and grapes. A bit musty with some cork notes. Hints of nail polish. Quite a bit of oxidation. Light acidity and citrus. Low bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, an alright beer considering the age but the aroma is much better than the flavor. The beer is definitely corked and oxidized which is disappointing as it opened with a pop and good oxidation; the cork was soaked though. Lots of apples, pears, a bit of spice and nail polish. Some floral notes. Not horrible, but not great. Huhzubendah (3705) - Washington DC, USA - MAR 5, 2016
Santé vertical 1-19. Thanks Stakem!
Orange copper body, slightly hazy with a soapy off-white collar. Aromas include apple, apple cider, musty basement funk. This held up well. Light oxidation. jtclockwork (16443) - , New Jersey, USA - JUL 27, 2014
Bottle shared by me at Bobby’s tasting. Pours orange gold white head. Nose is mostly dirty earth/light grape funk. Taste of funk, sour stone fruit, grape, saison yeast and light herbs. Medium body. Held up incredibly well. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - JUL 26, 2014

75 cl bottle purchased from Etre. Didnt have quite the carbonation that the first Sante had, but poured an almost identical clear, amber color. Nose and taste only had a faint amount of oxidation on the finish. Started out minty on the front end, before transitioning to tart green apple and peach. Mouthfeel was dull and a little oily, with good acidity, and a moderate finish. My favorite Sante of the day, and one I wouldnt mind trying again at some point. fonefan (48699) - VestJylland, DENMARK - APR 12, 2014

Clear medium orange color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, oxidide, funky, tart, apple, light pepper. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate acidic with a long duration, fruity, funky, tart, citric, grape, tart apples. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 1 - 01/03/14.
Clear golden with moderate off white spotting/edgeing.
Nose is musty, light spice, oxidised notes, woody, summer fruits.
Taste picks up a little on the aroma comprising bitter orange, citric peel, pears, bread dough, spice, light must, oxidisation present but not as big as on the aroma.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a citric zing.
Ok for the age I guess. yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 1, 2014
Bottle, 75cl. 1998 vintage. An almost clear one, but with lots of sediments in the bottle. Some white bubbles on top. The aroma is oxidised in a good way, with a faint caramel note, fruityness, apples and pears, and a peppery, herbal note. The flavor is quite dry and lemony, but the oxidised malts are present. Caramel hints. Medium body, with a nice carbonation. Impressive carbonation considering the age. Lasting finish with oxidation and some lemon. Still a good one, impressive how it has kept. 140301 Meilby (11366) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 1, 2014
