CloakedDagger (2575) - - JUL 5, 2017
Bottle 33 cl. A 6.4% Barley Wine?? Pours a hazy, reddish amber with an off-white head. Odd vitamin aroma. Medium body, nutty but overwhelmingly strangely tart - in a vinous way. Must be an infection. Not sure what this is - a Barley Wine it is not. 050717

Red colour nearly without head. Noise is fruity, sour fruits. Body is light, carbon low, texture thin. Taste is sour. Palate as sour plums, type a bit of old sour ale from Flanders, but no so sofisticated. B@Bilbao

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2015 From Carrefour. In Legado de Yuste glass. Playing Bit Evolution. Pure garbage. Undrinkable. Direct to the sink. Contamined? Makes me appreciate Cruzasco. As its name indicates, its a bad barleywine, a very bad one.

Bottle. Dry sour mash aroma, light berry, unintentionally sour, earthy finish Hazy dark amber, low head. You are in the wrong town gringo!

Bullit (4637) - Burgos, SPAIN - SEP 6, 2015
Bottle from Hipercor. Best before 8 3 2016. Amber colour, thin off white head. Nose is sweet malty, caramel, light sour, bit of fruits. Flavour is light sour, malty, light fruity, bit of caramel. Light bodied, especially for a barley wine. Mediocre.

jesperhammer (4788) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 22, 2015
22-AUG-2015, bottle @ Novotel Cornella Barcelona, from Hipocor. Murky brown with a lasting tan head. Aroma is slightly sour. Like an Oud Bruin. Taste still sour. The Barley Wine stuff is there as well. Caramel, bread, dried fruit. Medium+ body, average carbonation. Too bad.

Pinball (12167) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 20, 2015
clear amber brown, smooth light brown head. flowery, malty, very slightly sourish, aroma, a lot of malts, also a lot of fruits. Flavor is slightly sourish, fruity, some weird bitter notes, and some malts. It does seem like the taste is affected by some mild infection, the beer is surprisingly sourish for a barley wine. That being said, the beer seems to have potential, it is smooth and round and tastes like it has been brewed with care.

Lowenbrau (4361) - Asturias, SPAIN - JUN 19, 2015
330ml bottle. 15-06-2015.
BBD: not noticed, supposed to be within date.
In short: malty ale.
Pours little hazy amber with nice off white head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Malty, caramel, raisins, liquorice nose. MEdium body, average carabonation, litle crispy texture. Taste is sweet, caramel, ripe fruit, raisins. A bit light bodied for a full barley wine.
