12 ounce can in trade. Smell of sweet malt and a dark brown in color. Taste is somewhat sweet and woody Seems like this should be thicker on the palate. Light mouth feel. This is above average and very drinkable. Could drink a few of these. Aggiebob (1293) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - SEP 25, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 25, 2017 Draft. It poured a reddish color with a white lace ring. It has a malty aroma with notes of herbs, toffee and some caramel. It is a little hoppy on the finish as well. poisoneddwarf (2639) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - AUG 15, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 19, 2017 12 oz can from somewhere along Highway 2. First North Dakota beer. Aroma is perfumy buttholes, caramel, honey. Pours hazy brown with a collapsing beige head. Taste is sweet and malty, finishing with a faint bitterness. Not bad overall, but the aroma is weird. phaleslu (10652) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 25, 2017
12 oz. can via trade. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head that settles into a thin ring. The aroma is weak - hard to draw much from - but the flavor is downright bad. A tangy, slightly tart apple leads the way, with brown sugar, leaves, toasted malts, metal, and tea. Light-bodied, with low carbonation and a dry, tangy, slightly tart mouthfeel. Woof. I’ve had some good Fargo beers, but their cans must have no shelf life. This is the second stinker in a row. ryanfolty (2604) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - FEB 5, 2017
February 5, 2017 - can shared by Kyle. Brown pour with limited head that faded quickly. Malty, sweet and some cocoa in aroma. Taste was consistent with aroma and mild bitter finish.

Sample at Gabf. Pours a dark copper with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is caramel, vanilla, chocolate. Medium body, vanilla, licorice, raisin, nice sweetness, very good. popery (2231) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 23, 2016
12 oz can. It’s a medium-dark amber color. Somewhat hazy. Small off white head, fairly fizzy. Light toasted malt flavors. Fairly nutty. Light herbal note. Caramel backbone but it’s quite mild. Taste is quite dry. Lots of nuttiness. Caramel with a light sour twang, not sour sour, though. Fairly thin. Moderate bitterness with more of that hoppy herbal flavor. Kinda boring. euniceradio (562) - Worthington, Minnesota, USA - OCT 14, 2016
