3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Another great on from Fargo brewing. Had this on tap at JL beers in Fargo. Pours a see through dark brown colors with a nice thick white head that leaves a nice creamy white ring. Smell is of sweet malt caramel and with some nutty smell. The taste is very smooth up front it’s malty and carbonated with a very sweet nutty after taste. Well done again keep it up guys!!!

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz. can via trade. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head that settles into a thin ring. The aroma is weak - hard to draw much from - but the flavor is downright bad. A tangy, slightly tart apple leads the way, with brown sugar, leaves, toasted malts, metal, and tea. Light-bodied, with low carbonation and a dry, tangy, slightly tart mouthfeel. Woof. I’ve had some good Fargo beers, but their cans must have no shelf life. This is the second stinker in a row.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz can. It’s a medium-dark amber color. Somewhat hazy. Small off white head, fairly fizzy. Light toasted malt flavors. Fairly nutty. Light herbal note. Caramel backbone but it’s quite mild. Taste is quite dry. Lots of nuttiness. Caramel with a light sour twang, not sour sour, though. Fairly thin. Moderate bitterness with more of that hoppy herbal flavor. Kinda boring.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Can... Pours hazy and copper with no head. The aroma features toasted malts and a hint of vanilla. Medium to full-bodied with nearly expired carbonation. Mostly, this just tastes lightly acidic and tangy. There are some toasty and malty notes, but an infection has taken hold and really dominates here. Thin, tangy finish. Ah well, it happens. Can courtesy of Bvery! <--- Not his fault

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce can into pint glass, purchased at the brewery on 11/13/2015. Pours crystal clear deep reddish copper color with a 2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, plum, apple, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malts; with light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, plum, apple, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, plum, apple, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malts; with light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/silky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very nice Scottish ale style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/bready malts; and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering, and extremely well done for the style.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Received in trade, thanks for the tick gregwilsonstl!
Slightly hazy deep copper bordering on brown with a decent sized but short lived bubbly off white head. Initially some sulfur on the aroma but that gives way to a sweet smoky fruity affair with a hint of bitter toffee or butterscotch and hints of metal. The flavor is about the same. Glad to have tried, but also glad to finish this.
