too-crml-malty-sweet, otherwise decent flavors but just couldn’t get through to them.
12oz bottle pours a translucent, deep caramel brown with a frothy, creamy slightly tan head. The beer settles like a glass of Guinness. Very nice looking. Aroma is fairly mild, some distinct caramel sweetness, a little dusty, very earthy, a touch peaty. Flavor is big on the sweetness up front, caramel, toasted malts, sweet malts, a touch of orange. Finish is a little watery with both some lasting sweetness and some lasting bitterness. smcolw (617) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 27, 2009
Good head but there is little lace. Light amber color--near clear.
The smell and taste resembles chocolate and molasses. It is bitter from the darker malts.
Astringent taste with a bitter aftertaste from the the alpha hop oils. The body is solid, almost chewy. Overall, a solid offering in the pale ale category. A solid but neutral ale. beerfest5 (1207) - Cloneen, IRELAND - MAY 18, 2009

Poured a hazed amber color with an off-white head. Toasted malt and pine make up the aroma. Malty flavor with a touch of hops. Light bodied. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 10, 2009
Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells rosey with some sweet sugary undertones. Tastes of sweet malt, some rosey hints, some peppery splashes and a hint of spiciness on the finish. Decent. jimhilt (2610) - Bow, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 18, 2008
Pours a three finger cream head that faded quickly to a thin layer leaving some lace. Murky amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Slight hoppy nose. Flavor is sweet going to piney hops leaving a bitter aftertaste. $1.50 for a 12oz bottle from Manchester Wine and Liquors Manchester, CT. Contract brewed by Mercury Brewing. dogfish120love (1331) - Westfield, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 17, 2008
