On tap. Amberbrown, white head. Aroma of caramel and malts. Flavour is very malty sweet, sticky. Very slight bitterness in the end. Too sweet. kappldav123 (6133) - GERMANY - JAN 18, 2008
The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Aroma not dry, a little bit hoppy. The beer is somehow hard and not strong, every special is missing. Only an average doppelbock. TBone (18217) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 29, 2007

Copper brown color, good off-white creamy head, some lace. Very grassy, a bit sugary aroma. Grassy and malty, lightly alcholic flavor. Quite German, not really typical toasted doppelbock but very strong normal bock.
Bottled. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is grass, earth and some sweet malts. Flavour is malts, some diacetyl, bittering flowery hops and some mild notes of caramel. Hides the alcohol very well, easy to drink. Bov (13221) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - DEC 17, 2007
from crackedkettle.com - clear amber-brown colour with almost no head; nut and caramel with a touch of solvant; creamy and sweet palate; a fair bitterness and a long malty, caramelish finish - very well-made and dangerously drinkable

Wooden Cask gravity @ brewery tap, Fässla Bräu, Bamberg, Germany. Clear medium to dark amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, light to moderate yeasty, fruit, light flower-sweet / honey ! Flavor is moderate to heavey sweet and light light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily / syrupy, carbonation is soft. (181007) Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 25, 2007
Clear amber pour covered by a light off-white head. Rather alcoholic, candied malts and earthy, caramelly aromatic components. Almost woody in mouth with an interesting concentration on maple-like sweetness that takes a sugary toffee turn towards the finish. Well, its aroma is enticing enough, but the palate feels too small for its size, thin-medium bodied at most and with a rather inefficient carbonation. Earthy, rooty, caramel notes feel simpler than they might be in those overly tight clothings. motelpogo (8031) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - OCT 17, 2007
bottled, rbesg07, nice work from tom finding this behind the fridge. amber, very rich and rauchy aroma, hint of porridge, some alcohol showing, rich and invigorating rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 10, 2007
Amber colour, off-white head. Classic Doppelbock with the significant characteristics, that are almondy sweetness. Very clean and not ûber complex. KnutAlbert (6791) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 3, 2007
Another superstrong lager, you know them by the ..ator name. The alcohol is shining through here, though there is a fine maltiness that is overpowered.
