Draft at Fassla - Bamberg. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a white froth topping. The nose is all pale biscuits, grass and cereal. Light sweet flavor, very crisp, with more crunchy cereal and mild bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Very clean on the finish with crispy cereal, faint hay. Lovely. Great beer first thing in the morning.

On tap at the brewery in Bamberg. Not quite as good as the regular lager, some stale cardboard on aroma, clean in mouoth some hop on finish, bit earthy, noble hop some green hop. Easy drinking with a decent sting on the end.

This is probably my favourite Bamberg pilsner. Gold colour. Thick rocky head. Very herbal, slightly spicy aroma with a fresh pale malt aroma. Fairly rich pils, both in spicy hop character, moderate bitterness and full pale malts. Leans more towards Bohemia than Bavaria, to my pleasure. On tap at the brewery.
