Look; fawn head and clear copper body. Aroma; brown malts, malted candies, plum bowl, prune notes, leafy hops, caramel, dough, bread. Taste; dark caramel, malts, plum peel, grassy notes, grainy bread, and goes into a oily malty finish. Normal body and soft carbonation. Quite tasty fruity, as a good polotmawy. On tap at the brewpub. Light malty smell with some light caramel. Similar taste, quite sweet. Easy to drink. Best of the beers at this brewery. But Fässla stood out as the worst of the Bamberg breweries. ThirstyBird (3019) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 10, 2015
From the bottle it pours a clear orange/brown with a tan head. The smell is mild caramel, bread, toasted malt. The taste has a bit of fruitiness to it as well as the aforementioned flavors. It ends fruity and roasty. Light+ in body with less than average carbonation. ippopotamo36 (2622) - Rome, ITALY - MAY 30, 2015
Gravity keg at Fassla brewpub in Bamberg-Germany. Pours a filtered amber brown color, wood texture with a frothy ivory cap. Nose: mild caramel, bread crust, creme brule. Mouth: getting spoiled from other Franconian beer I would comment light, a bit too water. Anyway...man, this stays crispy, bready and very malty. It is a great beer.
