altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - NOV 14, 2009
Bottle at Wildeman. Dark brown body that looks like a soda, with a nice head. A malty and toffee nose. Watery and prickly texture. Taste of malts, caramel. Pretty good.

skortila (5875) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - JUL 9, 2006
Aroma of caramel malt, a bit roasted and some hops. Clear, amber coloured with an off-white short head. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter, caramel malty, a bit hoppy, some fruity tones. Not great.

TimE (5827) - Tokyo, JAPAN - DEC 20, 2009
Very dark, roasty on the verge of being smokey character. Much more smoke than any other Schwarz I’ve had. Takeaway bottle at the brewery.

Marheb (5779) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 30, 2014
(Bue à la brasserie): Une mousse qui se dissipe rapidement laisse les arômes de grains rôtis, torréfiés et de noisettes caramélisés. La texture est pas aussi optimale que certaines Dunkel mais les saveurs compensent.

DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 13, 2008
Bottle at Ealing beer fest. I was told this was a marzen, but its colour would infact say(as the site does) that this is a dunkel. Very malty, bready, small chocolate note, caramel, earthy german hop. Taste is similar, quite rich and not the easiest to drink, but quite good.

duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 24, 2004
Bottle. Has that typical German doughy bready malt flavour, some nutty characters. Pretty subtle and, yes, its not the most exciting beer, but it does its job well.

johndoughty (5452) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 1, 2010
Bottle.Brown with a medium head.. Nutty gentle sweetnes with low carbonation. Quite smooth and well above average without being spectacular.

3.1
Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 21, 2009
Bottle from brewery. Dark coppery-brown and clear. Aroma is subdued toasted malt, with some herbal notes. Drinkable enough with soft carbonation. Nice toasted malt qualities with not a lot of sweetness. Just a mellow, dry, drinkable marzen-like brew. Thin but has a nice finish I like.

2.7
thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 1, 2006
Bottle at the brewery. Clear copper-coloured with a small white head. Neutral malts aroma. sweet malty flavours, balanced by grassy hoppiness. A bit boring, actually.

3.9
Hildigöltur (5104) - København, DENMARK - AUG 1, 2003
This is a very nice beer. Surprisingly full flavoured for being a bottom fermented brew. It has lots of everything.
