This sun-kissed blonde is loosely based on a Belgian krystalweizen, or clear wheat ale. A wheat beer unlike any you’ve had before—similar to a hefeweizen but crisp and without any overbearing banana flavors…fruity with a balanced pallete. Brewed with 40% wheat, Northern Brewer and Cascade hops, a classic American ale yeast and a healthy serving of fresh ginger in every batch, she’s light but not too hoppy…the perfect summertime beer.

Sampled at the 2016 Knoxville Brewer’s Jam. Pretty subtle use of ginger in this one. I mean, I got some, mostly in the aroma. Other flavors included a lot of bready, toasty notes. Fairly refreshing.

Draft at the source. Hazy golden color, big fluffy white head. See pic with menu, but sadly it just says Rotating Seasonal, so that doesn’t help much. Ginger is subtle in the aroma. Earthy light spice taste.

Sampled at the brewery. It poured a golden color with a white head. The aroma was of malts, sweet fruits and some wheat. The taste was similar to the aroma with more malts, yeast, gentle hops and a little banana. Tasty.

Pint on tap. Clear burnt orange with a small ring of bubbles. Nose is caramel, ginger, toast and a bit of clove and banana. Tastes of the same, with a bit more ginger than the nose indicates. Light-medium body has medium carbonation and a nice drinkable balance.

Thin, watery, ginger aromas and earthy dirt scent. Easy drinking, not much going on. Standard Fat Bottom beer, decent at best. Appreciate the local scene but need to step it up.

Somewhere between a 2 and 4oz bottle pour at SAVOR 2015’s Saturday night session. Poured a hazy golden color. Light sweet malts, some light wheat. Touch of ginger notes, with a wheaty notes.

The beer for a non beer drinker sweet like a soda artificial flavor in taste. Not to impressed light head average. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I really enjoy the uniqueness of the ginger in this beer. It has a beautiful golden color, served with minimal foam.
