On tap at Fat Bottom, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is subdued, with bready malt, very low on the hop content. Flavour is similar, with bready malt, some bittering hops. Boring red ale, but inoffensive. rollinsr (827) - Atlanta, GEORGIA - JUL 18, 2017
Pours amber and clear with a finger of foamy off-white head. Aroma is floral with fruit notes of berry and citrus. Flavor is mild but the berry character is there with a glassy aftertaste that is slightly off-putting.

Fat Bottom’s Ruby is the kind of ale you could give to pretty much anyone. Red color with a loose tan head. Malty nose. Caramel and toast flavors. Balance is (sorry) fat malt and mostly sweet with just a hint of hop bitterness near the finish. Very drinkable American Amber. Travlr (26404) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 21, 2016
Draft at the source. Clear deep amber color. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel. Taste is bittersweet caramel.

Sampled at the brewery. It poured a golden amber color with a white head. The aroma was of citrus, pine and hops. The taste was similar to the aroma with more malts, hops and a little bittersweet aftertaste. Good stuff. Headbanger (4022) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - APR 21, 2016
Draft 3/14/16 (Radisson-BNA)-Pours a dark amber with a small head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and slight hops. Taste of the same. This medium bodied brew is just another amber. Sammy (12967) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 15, 2016
Run-of-the-mill amber, thanks Mark. Some hop flavour. Meets the style and serviceable. Light rye contribution. Light amber colour with a touch of lace. Tejas (1009) - Dallas, Texas, USA - NOV 28, 2015
Looks good but that’s about it. Little aroma, weak thin palate and little flavor. Oh well, some beers you sneak home aren’t always great. jbruner (5448) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - NOV 17, 2015
Pours a deep copper from the can with dissipating off-white head. Aroma and taste of sweet caramel malt and a hint of earthiness. Decent but just kind of average.
