Can sample. Poured clear orange amber color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sweet grainy malt aroma. Light to medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Light to medium sweet flavor with a light to medium sweet finish of short to moderate duration. My expectations where not met with a below average can beer.

I’m not going to get too detailed on this one. It’s a cheap lager with a slightly above average taste. I would take this over Bud or Miller any day. You just can’t beat the price and the can screams class, nuff said. AcctError65545 (1547) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - SEP 4, 2010
Pours a orangeish brown with a large white head. Aroma is malt, corn, touch of hops, metal. Flavor is water, aluminum, corn, touch of hops, slight hint of caramel. Easy to drink, not a lot of flavor but it is what it is, another pale lager that fails to distinguish itself, but is very easy to drink. Meh, at least the orange can and smoking cat look cool. arminjewell (9689) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JUL 31, 2010
Infected tasting, some corn but mostly lacto. Wet grains. Not good, better than most bmc but really not worth the time. urnes011 (16) - Minneapolis, USA - JUL 17, 2010
Copper orange color, thick white head that diminishes about as fast as the beer goes down. Sweet, carmel malt smell with a similar taste. Finish leaves you wondering. Overall for the price (8 dollars per 12 cans) this beer is pretty solid, not to mention the unique can. "This cat is fat!"

pours orange with a large white head because my bro dropped our case. Sweet caramel aroma. Flavor is really sweet. Maybe corn and sugar with a strange finish. Strangly enjoyable. Drake (14045) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 29, 2010
12 ounce can from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA, rated 4/29/10. Pours a clear golden color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, caramel and grainy notes. The taste is grassy hops, toasted grain and a slightly metallic note. Thin-medium bodied. dionysus (1486) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 8, 2010
Can pours golden-orange with a creamy off-white head. Aroma shows caramel, stale cereal, and slight herbal note. Flavor shows the same. Starts sweet and finishes dry on some very muted hops. Nothing exciting but I would still drink this over plenty of macro-brews. locarboy (129) - USA - JUL 7, 2009
Pours amber with nice white head. Aroma of nail polish remover. Carmel malt-grainy flavor. Paid $8.50 for 12pk @ Woodman’s in Kenosha. Not the worst offering by Minhas by far (i.e. Clear Creek Ice). pkbites (964) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 5, 2009
This is under rated. Not sure about those of you that said it poured a "clear gold". Mine poured a thick golden copper color with an off-white cream head. Very lovely. Aroma of overly sweet caramel and overly ripe fruit. Abundant presence of hops, light presence of malt. Decent bitter after-taste.
I remember seeing this while on a tour of the Minnesota Brewing Company in Saint Paul about 10 years ago. Not sure how it ended up with Minhas. Anyone know the alcohol content? I paid $7.49 for a 12 pack. Worth every cent!
